Some time passed, again and again she looked at the restrooms. Suddenly Dean came out, but Sam could see a slight reflection in his eyes. Immediately Sam rushed in and found his brother unconscious in a toilet stall. The shapeshifter had put on his sweatshirt and flushed the discarded skin down the toilet with little success. Worried, Sam tried to wake up his real brother, while the fake one just sat down at the table with Josie. Her heart was beating twice as fast. It was disturbing to see her friend in front of her and know that he might be dead. She pushed the ignorance away and focused on her counterpart. Slowly, the copy of Dean reached out his hand and touched her cheek. Uncertainly, she smiled at him. Even though he looked like the Winchester she could sense that it wasn't him. Dean would have touched her very differently and, above all, he would have looked at her more dreamily. There was something else in those green eyes, though, which gave Josie uncomfortable goosebumps.
"How about we get out of here, baby?", murmured fake Dean, stroking her red lips with his thumb.
At that moment, in the corner of her eye, she saw Sam supporting his brother out of the bar. He had put the hood over his head so nobody noticed there were two of them. But Dean couldn't help it and peeked out from under the hood at Josie, who had no choice but to play along. She gave the shapeshifter Dean a seductive smile.
Not expecting the monster to pay for Dean's burger, she put the last of the money she had on the table and stood up. In anticipation, he put an arm around her and they walked outside.
He let her guide him because, after all, he couldn't know where the real Dean lived, let alone where his car was. She deliberately led him through an alley and played with her charms. It didn't take long for the shapeshifter to swallow the bait. The brunette imagined it wasn't a monster that just put his hand on her butt and pushed her up against the wall. She hoped that the brothers would come to her rescue soon, otherwise she would have to become a killer herself.
But could she ever look into those green eyes while she plunged a knife into his heart? Probably not, even if it wasn't the real Dean.
Sam and Dean, meanwhile, had positioned themselves on either side of the alley to cut off the shapeshifter should he try to escape.
"Get your hands off my girlfriend you son of a bitch", the hunter roared, pointing his gun at his doppelganger.
"Damn it, I should have killed you when I had the chance to", the shapeshifter sighed and stepped back from Josie, "I thought a little quickie with this cutie here would do the trick, you weren't meant to be anything long term, but I wasn't going to miss out on this one here."
"I can understand that, I wouldn't like to be with myself long term either", Dean replied self-deprecatingly.
"Go ahead, shoot yourself, a lot of people have tried that. It's not so easy to look yourself in the eye", scoffed the shapeshifter, who could hardly be harmed by normal ammunition, unless it was silver bullets.
