Dear X,
"Never say goodbye, because saying goodbye means going away. And going away means forgetting." This has probably been my favorite quote for the longest amount of time. Two years ago you said it would never last, but to this day I still know it by heart.
Nobody ever notices, but I never say 'goodbye' when someone leaves. It's always 'night' or 'later' and sometimes even 'see ya.' But never 'goodbye.' I refuse to leave like they did. There has been only one person I have almost left, and that's Alex. I'm trying to help him, or at least that's what I tell myself. I really want him to get over me because I know I'll use him and he's too good of a person for that. That part is true. Also, I'm back at Step 2 from last year.
Step 1: Plan every last detail
Step 2: Cut off connections with people and slowly end all relationships (if that fails, make them hate you); this way no one will get hurt
Step 3: One last, good day
Step 4: Die
To be honest, the only person who actually said "Goodbye" was Tate, and he went away. He's forgotten me.
