"So Xiao, where did you even find him-- and he's gone."
Of course, he wouldn't miss such a good opportunity to flew away right after he finished eating his favorite dish. You rolled your eyes in annoyance, though, you're kind of used to his ninja ability.
"I guess you stuck with me." You sighed, looking at the young boy who was wearing a bit too much layered clothes in the midst of sunny weather.
"I could tell you're probably from Snezhnaya because of your clothes."
He nodded shyly. "Yeah, I am..."
Snezhnaya is nowhere near from Liyue, thus it must have a long journey to get here from the icy town. If the young boy was a tourist, his parents surely should have kept an eye on him to prevent an accident like this. He could be injured if it wasn't for Xiao who saved him.
"Where's your parents? Why are you even here at the first place, no--" Out of sudden, in the middle of your interrogation, Teucer gave you a quite heavy pouch.
You frowned, confused by his weird action. Nevertheless you still took the pouch that Teucer offered you to peek what's inside.
"Why are you giving me so much mora?" Another question slipped from your mouth.
"My brother said I should take it with me. He said, 'Find a nice person to give this to, and they will take good care of Teucer.'"
You looked at him disbelief. So naive, you thought.
"Your brother must be an idiot," You mumbled to yourself.
"Huh, did you say something Ms. Nice Lady?"
"Ah, it's nothing. But you shouldn't have given your mora so easily to stranger... I mean, what if I steal it and run?"
"There's no way you're going to do that, it's the reason why I called you Ms. Nice Lady!"
You wondered, did kids really this easy to manipulate? Anyway, you shrugged the thought away. You still couldn't believe why Teucer trusted you so effortlessly. However he's just a kid and you assumed that his brother most likely spoiled him too much.
"Well then, I will ask this again to you. Where's your parents? Or brother?"
"My parents is in Snezhnaya with my other siblings. I came here alone to find my brother who is a toyseller too."
"You seriously came here alone...? How?" You couldn't help but stated another question to him, this kid is too puzzling.
"Well, what happened was... I saw a boat that looked like it was selling toys, so obviously I thought my brother was on board..."
"And then when I got off I just kept walking and walking... that's when I found a bunch of hillichurls and nii-san saved me."
"It's dangerous... Don't ever do that kind of thing again, Teucer. You might get hurt." You suddenly felt the urge to acted like one of his relatives.
