Snippet 1:

After owning a fashion house and a food company, you would think Arnav and Khushi Singh Raizada's lives were sorted in terms of clothes and food at the very least.

You couldn't be more wrong!

No, they themselves weren't difficult to please in terms of food or apparel- well, maybe Arnav was a fussy eater and maybe he always insisted khushi choose his daily wear, including *ahem* all layers, and well, khushi was a foodie. But they were still ok. Their joint productions, on the other hand, were another topic on which one could write a long book and still have stories left to tell...

So, that summer, when Chiku, a recently turned 10-year-old, had to attend his best friend Ojas's birthday party, everything about it became an uphill task. The clothes Chiku and his sisters would wear, rather wanted to wear, and the food they would and "could" eat and so on!

And this was exactly where the problem began.

Because although most people said Chiku and Pari had inherited Khushi's taste in food, while Aru was more like Arnav, there were many differences! For starters, Chiku had developed a strong dislike for anything raw or uncooked and since most Indian chaat items came garnished with raw pyaz(onion) and dhaniya(cilantro/coriander), he either demanded they be removed from his serving or simply refused to eat it. Now, at home, or even at his nani's place, his tantrums could be accommodated. But why would outsiders bother? As for Pari, she was becoming increasingly obsessed with perfection. Her jalebis had to be perfectly crispy or she wouldn't eat them, her paneer had to be perfectly soft or she directly pushed the plate away. And lastly, there was Arohi Singh Raizada. She had apparently developed 10 different allergies. Almonds made her body heat rise, maida (refined flour) made her tummy bloat, and she was becoming lactose intolerant too but Khushi had tried her best to overturn the last one...

And as for clothes, then currently, they were at ARD's Kids' Collections- Angelic Heart Assn's flagship store but 3 hours had passed, and their kids hadn't finalized even ONE dress!

"Itna time toh hum ne apni shaadi ke kapde choose karne mein bhi nahi lagaya tha (We didn't spend this much time even choosing our wedding clothes)." Arnav whispered near khushi's ear.

Meanwhile, the store manager, who was personally playing salesman for the owners' kids, brought yet another set of shirts for Kavish.

"Aapne itna time diya hi kaha tha, bhaga ke le gaye the (We eloped, when did you ever give this much time)?" Khushi replied in an annoyed tone, and then forced a smile at Pari, who was once again insisting that her purple frock was NOT purple!

Arnav scowled, "I was referring to our real wedding." Of course. He didn't consider their first one as "real" one!

Khushi ignored him and turned to Pari, "Pari, bass hua ha ab (enough now). Now maa is going to pick a dress for you and you are going to wear it. Ok?"

Pari pouted and turned her face away, but Khushi held her chin and made her look at her mother. "Okay?" she asked again.

Pari gave a weak nod.

Khushi decided to seize the moment and picked up the purple dress she had liked from the beginning, but Pari had somehow ignored until now. So, now she decided to try another trick. Holding the frock up in front of her, she turned to Arnav. "Kitna pyara hai na ye (Isn't this beautiful), Arnavji? If it was in my size, I'd have picked it too."
