Nightmares

**Joe's POV**

I awoke to Taylor whimpering next to me, slightly tossing around. What the hell? I rubbed my eyes groggily and turned on to my side, facing her. She was still asleep, but her faced scrunched up as she cried and tossed around. I was still trying to wake up when I heard her mumbling start. "No, stop, please don't go. Joe? Joe?" I had seen her like this once before, but she refused to talk to me about it. It was another nightmare. I reach over and gently wipe the tears from her face pulling the hair back from her beautiful eyes. I slowly pull her to me and tuck her safely beneath my chin. 

"Taylor, Love. Wake up. It's just a dream, come on darling." I cooed, softly waking her up. I didn't want to make things worse by scaring her or forcing her awake. She jolted as she finally woke. Eyes going wide for an instant before shutting down and clutching to my chest. "J-Joe" She whimpered. "It's me love. You're ok it wasn't real" I said softly, trying to comfort her. She tucked her head in the crook of my neck and I held her tightly as her short sobs overtook her. I rubbed small circles on her back and ran my fingers through her hair making sure not to loosen my grip. After she had calmed down and her hold on my slowly loosened, curiosity got the better of me. I stroked the side of her face and held her chin up to look at my eyes. "Tay? Want to tell me what happened?" I hesitantly asked not wanting to push too hard, but hoping she'd tell me this time. 

She stiffened and tried to pull back, but I held her close. She sighed in defeat and took a deep breath. "You." She mumbled, and my eyes widened in shock. Me? What the hell did I do? " What?'' I asked quietly, caressing her hair and trying to keep her calm. "I'm afraid you're gonna leave me once I go on tour and cant see you every day." She sniffled, her face flushed. I give her a small smile and kiss her forehead as her breathing becomes even. 

"I'll never leave you my love" I whispered to her sleeping body.

 "ever"
