After two long weeks of not seeing eachother they were finally together. It was January in London which ment lots of cold air stinging their faces and ice covering their cars. Sadly though there had never been any snow when Taylor had been there.
They chose to spend today cuddling on the couch seeing another romantic movie and watching as the wind whipped the trees back and forth. After a few hours they fell asleep cuddled up in eachothers warmth.
Wrapping her arms tightly around him Taylor slowly opened her eyes yawning as she say that the t.v had been turned off and the only source of light was from the window.
That's when she saw the one thing that could make this already perfect day any better.
Snow!
The crystalized shapes were falling down perfectly into place.
She quickly leaped up subsequently waking Joe.
" Look Joe. Look" She pointed excitedy as Joe grumbled out and had barely opened her eyes.
Seeing as how he wasn't moving fast enough for her liking she grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the window. He simply chuckled thinking she wanted to show him another trick Olivia had somehow done.
Taylor just squealed at the snow and with pleading eyes he finally understood what she wanted.
With a slight smirk he said "Well don't just stand there we've gotta go get our boots."
They'd barely gotten their winter boots on, not even bothering with jackets. It was a decision they'd most likely regret later, but for now, it didn't really matter.
When they got outside, Joe stood right next to the front door and hugged himself for warmth. It was almost like he was trying to absorb the heat through the door.
Taylor was not at all happy with the distance between them. she wanted her boyfriend next to her as she played in the snow. "Come here," Taylor whined, making grabby motions with her hands.
Joe scoffed and rolled his eyes but easily found himself moving towards Taylor. When she was only a few inches away, Taylor wrapped Joe up in a tight hug and he picked her off the ground, forcing Taylor to wrap her legs around Joe's waist to keep herself from being dropped.
They were face to face, staring at each other with loving eyes and dopey smiles. Taylor leaned in to place a soft kiss on the tip of Joe's nose. Joe erupted into a fit of laughter at the soft touch.
Joe was so gone for this girl.
"Alright, Mr. Grumpy," Taylor lovingly smacked his arm, Joe just smirked. "It's time for snow angels!"
"No," Joe responded immediately. No way was he lying down in the stupid snow. It was freezing and would make his clothes wet and- dammit Taylor had the cutest puppy dog eyes. Joe didn't stand a chance.
"Fiiiiine." Joe groaned out in fake annoyance. "But mine's gonna be unique, angels are too basic."
Taylor laughed and nodded rapidly.
Soon enough they were both on the ground, spreading their arms and legs, competing to see who could make the best snow angel. Only they could turn the simplest things into competitions.
Joe could feel the snow melting into his sweater and the cold nipping at his back. he turned to complain to Taylor about it, but whenshe caught a glimpse at her beautiful face, her eyes shining with glee and smile as wide as it could possibly be, the words died on his tongue.
It was Taylor's first snowfall. Joe couldn't remember his own and honestly, he really wished he has that memory. Joe wanted Taylor to remember this. So, he sucked it up and continued on spreading his limbs.
When they both felt their arms growing tired and their backs getting sore, they stood up to admire their masterpieces.
"You have to give yours angel jewelry, babe." Taylor pointed out. "Or else it'll simply be a basic angel. Can't have that now, can we?"
"No, of course not." Joe moved up to the head of his snow devil and attempted to draw a necklace, at the same time that Taylor drew a halo around her own. The pearls were misproportioned and were shooting out at odd angles, but Taylor seemed to adore it so it didn't matter.
"They're perfect!" Taylor squealed. The snow was slowly starting to fall faster and faster, just beginning to cover up their hard work.
"We better head back inside before we get sick," Joe said. Hee couldn't help but notice the slight disappointment that shined in Taylor's eyes. He wanted to take it back, just to see Taylor joyful again, but it really was getting worse and they really should inside for the day.
"We can come back out tomorrow," Joe suggested. he breathed out a sigh of relief when Taylor's eyes lit right back up. "But for now, we need to go back in." Taylor nodded happily and took one of Joe's hands in his own, intertwining their fingers together.
"Promise we'll come back out?" Taylor asked, raising the hand that wasn't connected with Joe's and extending her pinkie finger. A pinkie promise.
"Promise," Joe laughed and connected his pinkie with Taylor's for the sake of pleasing her.
"Now let's get inside and put on some nice, warm clothes. Okay, babe?" Taylor nodded and pressed a quick peck to Joe's forehead before skipping inside, dragging Joe with her as she went.
They both woke up with colds the next morning, but Joe couldn't bring himself to regret their time outside.
