POV: Donato
She showed both of us the blueprint. I don't understand why she wants to go in alone, she could be killed.
"As it is hard to figure out where the tunnel ending is, it will be foolish to go through the tunnel because He clearly keeps his men there to keep watch." She said, marking a point on the print.
"So his men, placed in the tunnels, killed off people who entered the tunnel? Is that what you are implying?" Ezio asked her while going towards the print.
"Then we definitely have to use the seaport entrance." I spoke up in between. Ezio sat back on the chair.
"As seaport will have some sort of crowd, it will be hard for them to detect us if we are discreet." She began to explain. I nodded, letting her continue.
"Once we get in the crowd, It will give us the chance we need to infiltrate in his territory. The trick is to kill the men on the boundaries, clearing the way for me to get in and kill the target."
I looked up at her in suspicion. How does she have so much confidence, that she thinks she can do this alone?
"Take one man with you." I spoke to her in a commanding tone.
"I won't, I can do this alone. Ezio told me yesterday, Thomas sent more than half of his men to the city outskirts, to collect ammunition. So of course, he won't have that much security for 3 days." She has answers for everything. What do I say to this now?
"Still, you can be killed if you do alone. Take one of my men with you."
"That's a permanent possibility, and since when do you care if I die or not?" She looked at me with narrow eyes. I remained silent, not giving her an answer.
"You wanted me for this mission because you don't care if I live or die, right? No one hires an assassin if they care about his life." She eye-rolled at me. I looked at Ezio with a straight face. He was the one who suggested Hayley.
"I don't care but don't you care about your own life." She made a sarcastic face and nodded slightly in a no. So she doesn't care, why? I was about to tell her again to take someone with her but Ezio said in between.
"As you wish, Donna. Since his men are way for only 3 days, it's better if He is killed in 2 days, before he regains security."
"Exactly, then I'll go in for the mission, the day after tomorrow." She got up and went out of the room. I sighed and looked at Ezio.
"Davvero Ezio, le la lasci fare questo da solo?" (translation: Seriously Ezio, you are going to let her do this alone?)
"Gli assassini decidono come fanno il loro lavoro, non abbiamo la parola. Lo sai." (Translation: Assassins decide how they do their jobs, We don't have a say in it. You know that.)
"I know that but what if she flees and doesn't do the job?"
"Why do you think she would do that, Donato?" He asked me in a suspicious tone.
"She has her chance. Ezio don't forget, she is still a stranger and we don't know what all she can do."
"Dona, don't let your trust issues overpower your mind. If she could flee, she would have by now. Do whatever you want but let her do this how she wants to." Ezio got up and left the room. For fuck's sake! Maybe I am overreacting now....but I still don't want her to be alone in this mission.
Perché lo faccio adesso? Fanculo! Perché mi interessa?! (translation: Why do I even do now? Fuck that! Why do I even care?!)
