POV: Hayley

The sweat dripping down my spine woke me up. I felt no motivation to move or even fight back. My body ached and my heart ached more. I hadn't dared to move from the position I was in. I was too afraid to see the blood spots on the concrete.

The door opened yet again and a middle-aged man entered. He put a plate of leftover chicken and rice in front of me. I guess Xavier expected me to eat from his leftovers now. "Eat." He simply said and left the room.

I pushed the plate away and turned to the other side. I closed my eyes and started counting. I wanted to escape this feeling of helplessness and pain.

POV: Donato

"Give me your phone," I said as he drove back to the mansion. We had to pick Dimitri up before we did anything. I needed to call my gang on this. I couldn't do this alone. Suleiman grabbed his phone from the console and handed it over.

I dialed Hunter. "Suleiman not now!" He practically shouted.
"It's Dona here," I said. "Where are you?"
"Fucking Christ! Where are you?!"
"Cohen, just answer me."

He knew I was very serious because I used his last name. "On my back to the mansion, Boss."
"Call all the gang members, tell them to come to the mansion now," I commanded as Suleiman pulled into the driveway.

Suleiman stopped the car and I got out and ran into the mansion. "Dimitri!!" I shouted as I stood in the living room.
"I texted everyone. I'll call every high ranker." Hunter said on the call.
"Dona?" Jewel said, intervening. "I'm handling this phone, he's using his other phone."

"I need you to do something for me now," I said to Jewel and left Suleiman with Dimitri. I was in my room, changing clothes and gathering my weapons.
"What is it?"
"Take your kids and drive back to the cabin with a few guards. Then turn off your cell phone." I said to her.

I'm pretty sure she put the call on speaker and Hunter was hearing me. I heard Hunter whisper "Just do it." To her.
"I will." She said. I hung up and washed my face.

Then I went downstairs. "Dimitri, get a gun or something for yourself."
"I've called my men," Suleiman said, putting down his phone. "They'll reach in 10."
"Why are you being so kind to me suddenly?" I questioned him.
"It's pure business." He simply said and went to the kitchen.

I needed to eat something too. I won't be able to keep up if I didn't. I grabbed bread from the kitchen counter and saw a plate of half-prepared sandwiches. "Someone already made these," Suleiman said, eating them.

"Hayley was making them when you called," Dimitri said, pointing at Suleiman.
"You're helping me still you called and tricked her," I said with bitterness.
"If I didn't, you wouldn't have Xavier under your thumb." He snapped at me.

I heard a car engine and went out to the driveway. Hunter got out of the car and came to me. He grabbed the back of my neck. "Do you have a location?" I nodded a yes to him as Jewel rushed past me.

"Is she going?" I asked.
"She is. I'm sending three guards with her." He said, walking back inside with me. After 15 minutes, the mansion was buzzing with men and women. Weapons were laid out, bullets, bombs, rifles, and guns.

We were truly preparing for war. I told Hunter to brief them about our mission. Suleiman's men were also going to obey us. They also listened to Hunter. I gave Jewel a gun just in case and she left with the kids, along with the guards.

Dimitri was interesting to me now. "What is it?"
"She told me she is pregnant." He said, downing the glass of water.
"And?" I said, raising a brow at him.
"I told her I hoped her child lives through this." He said with guilt all over his face.
