POV: Donato

I came back home after 2 am and went to my room and found her in my room. At least she listened and didn't leave. She sat with her back leaned against the headboard and was asleep. I quietly opened the bathroom door and went in.

Then I undressed and wore my sweat pants and washed my face. I came out and shut the door, being as quiet as possible then went to the bed. I was thinking of laying her down but how? without waking her up?

I went to her side and nudged her shoulder. "Hayley?" She didn't wake up or even move. I slowly slid my hand under her, picked her up a little, and laid her down carefully. She let out a groan and turned her back to me. I went back to my side and laid down, looking at her.

She moved again and slowly opened her eyes, looking at me. "Hmm...you're back." I nodded to her and looked at the ceiling. I turned up the power of the Air Conditioner and pulled the sheets up to my waist. I looked at her to find her sitting up.

"What happened?" I asked. She looked up and down at me then moved closer to me.
"What happened at the warehouse?" She asked in a low tone and rubbed her left eye.
"You're sleepy, Amore. Keep that for the morning." I said to her.
"No, tell me. What happened?" She moved closer, aligning her back with the headboard.

I sat up and turned towards her. "Two men were missing, we went there and some of the men said that they went to the city. Then we waited for them to come back and they came back and told us that they got stuck in the city traffic." I laid down again and looked at her as she still stared at me.

"Ezio just used that to get his anger out on me, Hayley. Just lay down, I already don't feel good." She laid down and looked at me.

"I just wonder what I did to make him dislike me." She said. I turned to her and caressed her cheek.
"Same. I just don't understand why he always says that my work gets affected or influenced by you."
"He said that to you?" She said and balanced herself on her elbows.

"Many times. Practically every time he lashes about you." I answered her.
"He said that at breakfast too, didn't he?" She asked one more question. I stayed up on one of my elbows and stared at her. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Why so many questions, Amore?" I asked her. She let out a sigh.

"I'm just trying to understand why he changed. He wasn't this bitter towards me when I signed up for killing that Thomas guy. He was honestly nice." She said in response.
"He is nice. I never heard him talk this harsh, that too about a woman."
"Nothing lasts I guess." She said and stood up then went to the balcony.

I tried to examine her expression but she went away too fast. So I stood up and went after her. "What bothers you now?" I said and stood behind her.
"nothing"
"Don't lie." She let out a sigh and gripped the railing.
"Was I an option, Donato? Just for time-pass and pleasure?"

POV: Hayley

I was getting anxious with every passing second. I wanted an answer because I would die but be an option or a toy to Xavier or anyone ever again, and I didn't want the person I felt something to see me as anything same as that.

The sight of the city, I relied on it in case I end up crying again. Call me a desperate bitch for falling with the person I just hooked up but I swear I didn't even realize when I caught feelings. I felt his breath against my neck suddenly and my whole body tensed up.

He moved his hands down and rested them on my torso. Then he snuggled his face in my neck and planted a soft kiss on my ear. "I don't say sorry to my options and I don't want my time-pass to get back to normal." He said, whispering in my ear.
