POV: Hayley

"So what do you do?" That man asked me. I felt like I would faint from the panic. I was about to speak but Donato spoke up.

"She provides us with arms." He said and that man nodded, they both started chatting again. I turned around and stepped a little away from them, and pretended like I was doing something on my phone. I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I turned around and looked at Donato. He gave me a confused look and I sighed and placed my drink on the counter. "What happened?" He asked in suspicion. I gulped.

"Umm ... Thank you for that excuse." I looked at him. I don't know what it was about his gaze right now. It was like he was scanning every inch of my body, searching for a reason for my discomfort.

I avoided looking into his eyes. After a few moments of glaring at me, he turned and scanned the room. I looked away from him and stared at the glasses on the counter. He, out of nowhere, pulled my hand and lead me out of the hall, towards a corridor.

"What are you doing!?!" I shouted at him as he stopped in front of a door. He turned around and looked behind me as if watching if anyone was coming our way.

"Why do you look so disturbed?" He asked stepping closer to me. I looked at him as I saw a hint of concern fill his eyes.

"I just didn't want to ..talk to anyone."

"Why?" He asked, more like commanded me to answer. yeah no, he didn't care, he is just curious.

"I don't know, I guess someone ruined my night." I snapped at him and turned around to walk back to the hall. He grabbed onto my wrist and pulled me back to where I was standing. I glared at him.

"For fuck's sake, just let it go. It's not like you didn't slap anyone for no reason." He said and I eye-rolled. Well, he is definitely not wrong.

"I didn't slap my friend's 'friend'." He scoffed.

"You still think Jewel and Hunter are 'friends'? You have no idea then." He smirked and scoffed.

"Of course they are not just friends." I said in a calm tone. He stepped closer to me again. "You know, you could have just apologized to her and make it a little less hurtful." I said, looking up into his eyes.

He eye-rolled and his facial expression changed to a little pissed one. He stepped closer and leaned in, letting out a breath on my neck before whispering. "Did you ever apologize for slapping someone during an interrogation, Hayley?"

He scoffed and stepped away and said in a normal tone. "Fuck that! Did you ever apologize for killing? Why would you, that's your nature." I sighed and eye-rolled.

"It's not my nature, I don't kill or hit because it's fun or I can! I'm raised as a weapon, always treated like one!" He clenched his jaw as I raised my voice over him. "You wouldn't know that now would you? Because you were raised as a future heir, with privileges?!" I started lashing out at him. He clenched his jaw and glared at me furiously.

I just didn't wanna argue right now so I walked past him. Not knowing where I was going, I just went down the corridor. I stopped as the corridor end. I turned around to walk back to the hall just to see him standing there like a tower.

I gasped as he stepped closer to me. He glared at me like a predator, ready to devour his prey. He stepped closer one more time then my back hit the wall. He placed his hands on the wall, caging me in between.

I gasped softly as he leaned in onto my neck again and whispered. "There are many things we don't know about each other. So let's not be bold enough to lash at each other 'cause it won't end well, Amore." I turned my face to left, to get a view of his face.
