POV: Ezio

I opened the door to his cabin and saw him talking to 6 men. I went in and sat on the couch, waiting for them to finish up. They were talking about a meeting but meeting for what? They finished and the men walked out of the cabin.

I glared at him as he didn't say anything to me but just continued his work. I kept my glare fixed at him, waiting for him to speak up. Oh, I can be passive-aggressive too. "What is it, Zio?" He said, looking back at me.

"You want to tell me why Hunter's girlfriend got kidnapped?" I asked him. He glared back at me.
"You put spies behind me, Zio?" He said, clenching his jaw.
"Of course I did. I wouldn't if you told the shit you had going on." I said. He slightly rolled his eyes and continued filling up a file.

"Where is Hunter?" I asked.
"Home."
"Why the fuck?" I responded.
"Because Ezio, he got someone to take care of." He replied.
"It's not that big. It's mafia, of course, the family gets hurt but keeping him home is just fucking stupid." I responded.

It was not reasonable to me that Hunter got to stay back and do nothing when it's not even that big of a deal. "I ordered him to stay home, you got a problem with that?" Donato said with a sarcastic tone.

"My problem is this tone of yours, Donato. What did I even do to get that?" I said, imitating his tone.
"What you did?" He said and stood up. "Let's not talk about this again. I don't want to repeat the same thing again and again." He said and took out another file and a stack of cash.

"Was I ever wrong? Everything I said is somewhat true."
"It isn't, that's the issue." He said. "Why would you ever use offensive words to a woman half your age? And for what?" He snapped at me.

"I said that in anger and it doesn't even matter," I said and sat down on the chair in front of him.
"You always stopped me from saying and doing abusive shit and now you started going against it. For what reason?" He sat down in front of me and started counting the cash.

"You see this behavior? I never once taught you to care this much. Why do you even care how one of your sluts is treated?" I scoffed. He glared at me and put the cash aside.

"One, She is not my slut. Second, don't make me furious. Just tell me what you want and stop with your shit." He snapped again.
"What happened to you, Dona? Why are you being rude to me now? What is she if not your slut?" I said to him.
"She is my gang member and a woman I appreciate. If you want to talk about the problems you have with Hayley, please see yourself out." He said, rolling his eyes.

"I want the respect I had before her. I don't believe you ever talked to me like that before her." I let out a sigh.
"Zio..." He sighed. "I respect you but I can't bear this behavior anymore. Do you think I lose my focus on shit because of her? No, I don't. She is not even here. Now, what's the problem?"

I let out a sigh. How do I tell him that Hayley's presence around him bothers me? It makes me doubt her even more. The man she once fought with, the man who almost choked her to death thrice, she is with him, being all cozy and shit. It doesn't sit right with me.

"I want to know which meeting were you talking about, with those men?" I said to him.
"Zio-"
"Donato," I said, cutting him off.
"We think the man that kidnapped Hunter's girlfriend can be lured in with some help. I can't tell you much right now but I just want to set up a meeting with Albert Woods." He finished.

"Albert Woods??! Do you even know how large his network is?! Sex trafficking is fucked up as fuck! One mistake and all of us will be in trouble!!" I shouted at him.
"I know! and I also know how that shit works. I got it all planned out." He shouted. I nodded.
