POV: Jewel.

Something is just wrong now. First my kidnapping, now Ezio and Donato's anger, Hunter's secrecy. I can't with it anymore. I'll just wait till we go home and confront Hunter tonight. I need to know, I can't go insane over stuff I don't know about.

Donato and Hayley were fighting like street dogs, shouting like their barks, pushing each other. It's great that Hunter got the staff to go away because god knows what they would have done if it got worse.

They both came out of the fire exit, Donato went to Hunter who was at the end of the lobby, talking on his phone. Hayley came and sat down beside me. "All ok now?" I asked even though it was visible it wasn't ok.

"I don't know, I guess he is ok, for now." She said and sighed.
"The doc told us what his condition is now. I don't think he will be ok anymore now." I said nervously. Shit, this stupid big mouth!

"What did he say?" She asked.
"He said Ezio is attached to a breathing machine, his pulse rate went down. The doc said he might go in a coma because of the head injury, they might put him in a coma for recovery or it might just happen naturally..."

She didn't say anything but rubbed her forehead, looking stressed. "Hayley, what is going on? Why is everything getting disturbed?" I asked her.
"Long story...I'll go get coffee for all of us." She said and stood up.

"Tell me, I can't do it anymore, I'm confused now. First the kidnapping, then moving in his mansion, and now this..."
"If I could tell you, Jewel...If I could explain it all, why wouldn't I?" She said to me.
"Tell me just the reason please..." I said, pleading.

"It's another gang leader who was my ex-boyfriend. I don't know if he did this but everything before...was done by him." She said to me and sighed. Then she went to the lobby end, near Donato and Hunter, turning over to the coffee table.

I sat waiting and Hunter came and sat down near me. "What now?" I said, resting my head on his shoulder.
"Better but not good. He wants to see him but I don't think we should let him...."
"Why?" I said to him.
"What if he freaks out and has anger bursts again? He was about to knock that door down when he got to know about Ezio." He said, sighing.

"Yeah, you're right but we can't stop him..." He nodded. "Hunter? Can you just drop me home? I don't feel good, this smell of drugs-"
"I know, I know. I'll stay with you for a while, take rest." I nodded to him. He helped me stand and we went to his car.

I'm glad he remembered that the hospital smell made me sick. It's not for a particular reason but I just puke if I smell something weird like the overwhelming smell of medicines. He helped me sit in then sat in himself. We both drove off to the house.

POV: Hayley

When I went back to the bench, she wasn't there, neither was Hunter. I guess they both took off. I looked over to Donato and he was texting on his phone. I went to him and stood in front of him. Again, words were foreign to my mind.

He looked so cold, his eyes emotionless and cheeks painted with dried tears. I put one cup of coffee on the small stand beside him and silently went back to the benches. I expected him to say something but he never did.

"Mr. Cohen?" A nurse called out, holding some papers in her hand.
"Here," I said and stood up as she came towards me.
"Are you here with Ezio DeSantis?" She asked and I nodded a yes to her. "The doctors have put him in a medical coma as he was not responding to any of the treatments." I let a sigh and she handed me some reports.

"All the forms are signed and you can see him if you want and by the way, Don't smoke in the fire exit." She said, giving me a judgemental look as I opened one of the reports.
"That wasn't me but ok." I was saying but she already walked away.
