Camren.
"Why you being ugly?"
"Whatever, I let you win."
"Keep tellin' ya'self that."
Jaxon just whooped my ass in 2K, and I'm in my feelings. I know how to play, but niggas be super serious about this shit. It's a game bruh.
We've been going strong for a while now. I can honestly say I love him so much more than I did when we were only friends. My role really hasn't changed much, just my title. But he doesn't treat me like a bro. To him I'm everything, and he's mine. The sex is a fucking plus, I'm just saying.
We barely have disagreements and I pray we don't start any time soon. This nigga is beyond blunt, and he doesn't care if what he says hurts your feelings. Just having a simple conversation with him will have you like well gah'damn. That's just the way he is.
Me on the other hand, I'll tell you wassup. But I'm not going to be a asshole about it. I don't sugarcoat shit, but ima be considerate of others feelings, and the levels of stuff they can take.
Maybe that's why we're compatible. We have the same personality, just different ways of showing it. I don't know.
Tupac's Dear Mama played as my phone vibrated, indicating that my mom was calling.
"Hello? Move Jaxon." He sucked his teeth and went into the kitchen. My mom chuckled.
"Hey baby girl."
"Hey mama. How are you?" It's been a few days since we've last talked.
"I'm fine, making it. How have you been?"
"I'm doing fine."
"Wonderful. I just wanted to let you know that I'll be in California next weekend on business, but I'm free Saturday. So I wanted to take you out so that we can catch up." At her words, I got excited.
I haven't seen her since Christmas, so this was good news. I've told her just about everything, except for the explicit parts of my relationship. She don't need all that tea.
Maybe while she's here, she can meet Asia. I have many friends, but I rock with Lex and Asia the hardest. She knows Lex, so why not meet Asia?
"That sounds nice. Do you mind if a friend of mine tags along?"
" Not at all. Which friend?"
"Asia. She's chill and I think you'd like her."
"I hope she's nothing like your friends from middle school." I laughed. She could not stand my friends then.
"She's not."
"Okay, sweetheart. I trust your judgement. But let me get back to work, and I'll call you before I come."
"Okay. Bye mom, love you."
"Love you, too, Liz. Talk to you later." With that, she hung up. I miss her old ass. She's not even old, she's thirty nine.
Even though I live here with my dad, she's still an amazing mother. She's never allowed for her and my father's separation to come between us, and I appreciate her for that. Sometimes you get those cases where the mom leaves and cuts off all ties with her child or children. Not my mom.
She's a real down to earth woman. Supportive and understanding. She's one of those people who are down to help you if you need it and doesn't ask for anything in return. I get my soft side from her and my outspoken attitude from my dad.
