Rashad.

The classroom door opening roughly caused the class to go silent. Jaxon walked in with his face balled up, causing Cam and I to frown out of concern and confusion. He ignored the snide remark from the teacher and took his normal seat near us.

I reached over and tapped his arm, catching his attention. "Yo, you good?"

All he said was, "Naw, but ima beat his ass forreal."

"You saw him?" I glanced at him and could tell that the situation with Asia really got to him. Especially knowing his past with shit like this.

"Saw who?" Cam asked, leaning forward over her desk. Jay just glanced back at her, not acknowledging her question.

"Man, I just choked his ass up." He scowled, and I just listened as he told us what happened. "Then he wanted to play dumb and shit. Gon ask who said it and say he ain't ever put his hands on anybody. I politely hit him a few times and hemmed his ass up."

I was trying to control my laughter, but Jay was an idiot. And knowing him, he was telling the truth about what had just happened.

"Anything you'd like to share Mr. Miller? Mr. Lancaster?" Ms. Richardson asked.

"Mind ya' business." Jay waved her off, and Cam—who had been fairly quiet, burst into laughter.

We about to get put out. I can't.

"You can continue, this doesn't concern you." I told her, not making the situation any better. Luckily, Cam said something, and Richardson turned back around to finish what she was doing. "Nigga, you funny as hell. But I'm sure he's pieced together who you were talking about, so all we can do at this point is watch out for her."

He nodded. "Most definitely."

Conversation halted for a moment as Richardson explained the assignment she had just assigned and once she was done, it started again.

"What you got going on after school?" I asked, flipping my paper over to finish writing my answer for the question.

Jay threw his hands up, shrugging. "Not much of shit, to be honest. I'm chilling. What you and sis got planned?"

Siiiisssss?

"Who the hell is sis?" I laughed. "But we sliding through the mall. Cam, Asia and me. You should come, bro."

"Shut up," He chuckled. "But I'll see. You think you slick dawg, and you not." He lowered his voice. Even though Camren was on the other side of the room, she could still pick up on other conversations.

"I'm not tryna be, you just need to for it."

"Nigga, did you not see her yesterday? She got a nigga." Jay sighed in defeat.

Camren is not in a relationship; she wanted to have her cake and eat it too. Men do it all the time but expect women to have crumbs when they weren't exclusively involved with one man.

She was simply getting her fill and I understood that. People need to understand that women have needs too and they should be able to fulfill those needs when they saw fit.

However, a relationship has never stopped Jaxon. I've watched him pursue multiple women in relationships and end them, just for a fling. I was getting the impression that he was over that now, though.

"When has that ever stopped you? Cam isn't in a relationship, bro. You just being scary." I laughed.

"First off, fuck you. Secondly, you know something." He squinted in my direction. "Who was it?"
