A wedding and now a funeral.

Saif, Owais and their mother were all in the late king chambers, as a family for the final time. Echos of her majesty cries were amplified through the grand closed doors. Kyda, Amita and the Dr stood outside of the late Emperors chambers, the palace began as colourful and exuberated, but it then ended with sorrow and loss. Woefully, today seemed to be the last day that this palace would ever see the light.

That sign was enough for Kyda to stress over the thought of Owais now becoming Emperor. Which only meaned a new era was coming for the remorseless leader.

Will having Amita as his wife change history for the better?

But soon after the Empress wailing soon morphed into vulnerable whimpers, but it wasn't hers.

"Nani? (grandma)"

She turned around herself to find herself in an emergency hospital ward. Her Nana sat on a chair in the waiting room and her face was in a tissue. Kyda nodded her head, a vigorous no "No... no... no, I can't go through this again" she clenched onto her black thick waved hair. She spun around, in attempt to find an exit but the hallways seem to go on and on, as if they were never ending. She groans and stomps as she began to panic more and more.

"SOMEONE HELP ME!"

She screamed from the top of her lungs, she was desperate to escape her memory, more like nightmare. Then soon enough about family's voice was heard "Nana I'm so sorry..." whimpers came behide her. Kyda had a lump in her throat knowing exactly who it was, Kyda couldn't turn around and face them. She refuses to suffer the same pain on that very day. "I called the ambulance as soon as I can...I I don't...know what happened, Nana (grandfather)... W w we were just playing... chess and he-" she couldn't finish her words since she kept cracking more and more as her guilt and fear leaks out of her. Kyda took a deep breath and managed to face the source of the voice.

Herself

The sorrowful Kyda sat on the floor across from her grandmother and was hugging her knees as her back was against the wall. Footsteps that were sourced from running were then heard bring down the hallway revealing her mother racing towards them in her work outfit in pure panic confused and dazed by what was going on "Where Abu? (dad)" she faced Kyda Knowing she was with him last. "In the emergency room" she responded quietly, Kyda became frightened by the question that felt more like an interrogation. "I know that, I mean has he came out... was he moved elsewhere?" Her mother became agitated. Kyda just nodded no, resulting her mother to groan out of frustration. She began to pace back and forward in a perturbed nature to reduce the intense amount of worry, concern, and guilt she had.

Her mother was a strong woman.

She been through a lot.

Being ridiculed for going into further education by strangers, who has the audacity to call themselves relatives, and butts into situation that has no shred of inclusion for them.

Being an independent mother when her other half had never valued their partner or their children.

Being a strong believer of Islam but would be wrongful mistreated and ridiculed by those on the street, just for covering her hair.

Kyda has never witnessed her in such a vulnerable, raw state.

"This is my fault" her mother said to herself, Kyda tears up and nodded no as she held her mothers hands. "This is all my fault" her mother continued "If I was there then it wouldn't have happened".

Kyda stood up from her spot "It's not your- ". Her mother snatched her hand away from her daughter "If I didn't leave Kyda alone with him, this wouldn't have happened" she was in her own world, becoming hysterical. Kyda scolded herself to comfort her mother.

"My fault?" She whimpered to herself.

She was the last one with him.

If she had dialled 999 at least 20 seconds faster.

Maybe he wouldn't be in a critical state.

Kyda blood was boiling by the accusation, yet she couldn't help but to have the thought, lingering in the back of her head, she was a felon. She bit her tongue and held herself back.

"Shaft huna bankuro" (Translation: Stop being harsh) Nani (grandmother) scolded Kyda's mother but she kept pacing, not acknowledging her surroundings.

Soon the doctor came out of the emergency room that her Nana (grandfather) is held in.

Trapped in the same room as a prisoner.

Kyda, Nani and Kyda mother stood in front of the doctor in a line with their eyes widen in hope.

They connected their hands with each other, clenching onto their bond that can be fulfilled by Nana.

"I'm so sorry"

Kyda eyes drained of optimism and was welled up in tears.

She could no longer here the bearer of bad news.

It was like a grenade went off in her ears.

She felt her mother's hand disconnect from hers and cried her heart out.

The man's blood that runs through her veins, no longer exist in this mortal world.

Kyda's Nana ran to her daughter side and comfort her in her embrace "Kya hua?" (Translation: what happened?) her Nani was shaking slightly as she had an idea what the outcome was for her husband.

Kyda tears streamed down her face while her body became disconnected from the source of pain.

The misery, regret and the guilt engulfed her.

"Yeh meri ghalti hai"

(Translation: it's my fault)
