Day one to place Kyda plans into action.
There was much hesitation, concern, and fear from her only trustworthy allies, even from herself.
But she couldn't think of anything else.
Kyda, along with Amita accompanying her as usual. They walked back from the rooftop where they had been served Anda Paratha (egg paratha) under there tassel orange parasol with Medu Vada and a glass of Rose Lassi. However, Kyda noticed his majesty wasn't present this time as usual.
Neither was Saif or Owais...
Just the Empress and Princess Rayha, fiancé of the heir to the throne.
Clearly it was an awkward situation.
The two ladies made their way down to the courtyard as their hand-embroidered jutti shoes produced a tapping sound on the pure white spotless marble floor. Kyda's curiosity was urging herself to ask the question "Hey... where the Emperor? I heard the Emperor didn't have breakfast and neither was the princes". Amita faced her with a staggered expression presented on her face "Don't you know the Emperor is sick?" Kyda nodded no and waited for her to continue "He is now in a worse state now, it came out of nowhere, Dr Adil is with him trying some remedies, I researched with him last night". Kyda sighed "That bad huh? No wonder they are in a rush to marry psycho off" Amita looked down but managed to obscure her true emotions of the whole marriage arrangement.
Kyda mentality scolded herself "Sorry".
Amita faced her to give her a reassuring smile "There nothing to be sorry for, I'm just concerned. Owais has been at his father side without a meal or a chance to rest".
Kyda frozen in her steps and a lightbulb went off in her head "That's brilliant". Amita spun around being alarmed "What?". Kyda took a few steps towards her "Don't you see? This is your chance to get close to him". Amita stood there in shock still "His father is perishing slowly" her comment resulted Kyda to rub the back of her neck, in attempt to place her responses in nice manner "It was fated for him, if Allah decided it's time for him to leave then it's time for him to leave, not even Dr Adil can do anything about that". Amita stared into Kyda shimmering dark brown eyes in silence, allowing herself to sink into her words. "What do you have in mind?" Amita knew she could fully trust in her. Kyda beams by her response and links her arms with hers as the continued to walk down the exceptional architectural hallway.
"Owais is in an emotional state right now and he's in need of a shoulder to lean on or someone he can express himself to, that can be you" Kyda explained.
"What about Saif? He hasn't slept for days" Amita mentioned resulting Kyda's heart to become lightweight just by hearing his name. "D don't worry about him... I can handle him" Amita couldn't help but to grin by hearing her stutter for the first time and her cheeks were tinted like the newly planted pink Amaryllis in the royal garden. Kyda quickly recovered herself after doing a quick little cough before she continued.
"You can easily enter into the room without raising any questions since you the old man's mentee, you can maybe bring Owais some snacks to give him energy or whatever...". Amita felt her cheeks built up with heat "That sounds pretty reasonable" the two females smiled till they impeded in their footsteps.
Princess Rayha...
In front of them.
Staring at them.
Kyda peeked at Amita and she was like a deer in headlights, she didn't dare to move an inch.
She was worried she would trigger something with the slightest of movement.
The echoing sounds of clicking of the Princess heeled luxury shoes, made her way towards them with her own personal entourage from her home kingdom, following from behide.
