"We can't go back, Pricilla?"

Kyda was digging her own nails into her knees as she no longer had control over her body.

Her body tensed up as distressed washed over her and it was very clear.

"I mean, it's been years, Kyda ... and I tried to get back, but they just seem to never work" she slouched in her chair.

Kyda was desperate to get back, she didn't fix history but made a huge mess with her name written all over it.

"Excuse me"

The two ladies looked up to see a fellow staff member of the museum. Pricilla quickly stood up with a forced smile on her face "Hi, how can I help?".

The man looked at the entrance and back at her "Ummm... has a deliveroo person came in with an order from Wagamama?".

Pricilla smile began to melt off as the realisation crashed into her like a truck.

Kyda heard his words loud and clear and with the used Wagamama napkin in her hand, she slides it under the table and stood up with a nervous grin "Wagamama?... oh we haven't received anything yet".

The male staff raised an eyebrow "Really?" he squinted at his watch "It's taking them a while".

Pricilla bites her bottom lip to refrain herself from blurting out a confession. "I see" Kyda nodded and grabbed a note pad and pen "Tell me what you ordered, and I'll chase it up with them" she smiled as she was planning to reorder the meal for him.

"I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ATE SOMEONE ELSES MEAL!"

Kyda was forced onto the chair in the dining room table as she was submitted to torture...

Her mother yelling into her ear till her eardrums bleed.

"WHO IN THE RIGHT MIND WOULD DO THAT? BECAUSE IT'S NOT YOU!" her mother continued in ferocity.

"In my defence I didn't let the guy starve... I got him the same things he ordered" she attempted to change the picture like a true lawyer.

That's the closest thing she has, related to a career as a lawyer.

"THAT'S NOT THE CASE!" Her mother veins in the neck began to pop out.

That's not a good sign.

"YOU STOLE SOMEONE ELESE FOOD AND THERE NO WAY OF SUGARCOATING IT!" No mattered how hard Kyda tries in a debate or a screaming contest, her mother always out performs her.

"Mujhe lagta hai wo sabji hai" (Translation: I think she understands) her grandmother came to the rescue "Mo hai mei hund neiriha" (Translation: She hasn't been herself, lately). Kyda grandmother faced and tenderly place her hand on her shoulder "Araam karna" (Translation: Go rest).

Kyda did not question her Nana words. She simply got up from the dinning chair and lead herself up the stairwell without glancing back.

Leaving the two mother figures in the heated atmosphere, Kyda caused.

Autumn soon came.

The leaves morphed into a brunt crispy orange as it tenderly snaps off the tree branch in the park. They began to swirl with the chilly breeze, performing a dance.

Applauds and semi cheer was carried in the gentle wind as the cold air nipped at Kyda nose.

She stared into space, where her view was a dove pecking the leftover roti crumbs that was distributed by an old lady in her shalwar kameez, who is known by the community to feed the birds.
