Kyda became wildly irrational with panic clouding her sense of logic as her crying tones lingers from behide. Shahzor raised his guards up hearing her shrieks and believed to be under attack. This formed a causation for him to gallop back and forwards without a sense of direction, the shellshock of the horse took over its judgement and perception. Saif faced her making him falter with the realisation "KYDA STOP, ITS QUICKSAND!". Kyda was flabbergasted by her own action, how an element of nature that was primary used for humour in cartoon was going to be the cause of her death "The more you move, the deeper you go" he stated.
Kyda brain slowly deteriorated.
Her body became desensitised.
She began to unnerve.
Foreboding
Disquietude
Nausea
The traits incapacitated her whole body as the ground was swallowing her up to her waist. Even though she was still like the dead, her heartbeat was racing at a crazy pace from her chest to her ear.
Saif was fast on his feet, like any good Warrior at war. He unclipped one side off the reins while the other side was still attached to Shahzor, as soon as he dominated and maintained his control on his horse by heaving on his reins.
His royal highness was struggling to force the traumatised horse, against his will to rescue his beloved. Saif didn't care who would get hurt in the process, all that he desired is for Kyda to come out safe and unscathed.
He saved her once at the Bazaar, he could save her again,
The Khagan (Prince) threw the end of the reins towards Kyda. But out of luck, the reins were slightly out of her reach. If she could reach it, Shahzor could pull her out with all his might. Kyda began to softly cry to herself not wanting the Prince to hear as the sand engulfed her further up to her chest.
While the sand was getting tighter around her trapped body and restricting her movements like a cobra wrapping around her for a feast. Saif became pessimistic at this point. He couldn't lose someone else; he already lost his father.
He couldn't lose his Kyda.
His jewelled blossom
His Empress
The future mother to his children
He wasn't thinking about his next actions. She was slipping further and further away from him. His Royal Highness scurried towards her without a single moment to blink. His desperation to keep her within his clutches was clearly display in front of her. Kyda caught a glimpse of his desperation and knew it was out of his control for what was to come. She wasn't getting out. She stopped herself from whimpering and the trepidation. The devastation contained in her figure began to flow out as she accepted her fate. Saif got himself onto his knees, something no one should ever witness a royal member unless it's to Allah. Khagan Saif was scrambling blindly towards danger as he shovel the continuous sand with his own bare hands "Don't worry you'll be fine; I'll get you out of this in no time and we can go back home to the palace together safe and sound and we can have all your favourite food and- ".
Kyda faintly spoke "It's ok".
But Saif continued as he shuffled further into danger. Tears welled up in his eyes as he continued trying to ignore her feeble comforts "I'm getting you out of here, I can't lose you too, I can't go back there..." he began to crack. "Saif..." her emotions were getting the best of her "S Saif... stay back you're gonna get trapped too" Kyda whimpered out. "I don't care, I'll lose my mind if I go back there without you, I need my Alula, I can't go on without you" he was bursting out all his emotions.
Kyda wanted to cup his cheeks to comfort him, although, her arms were already below the sand and the ground was swallowing up to her neck. Simultaneously, the sand was like a snake, constrictor her ribs and neck.
"Saif" she called out to him "You need to go back... the whole Empire is waiting for you to come back... not me".
"I would have no one without you... don't leave me... Habibi Albi (translation: love of my heart)"
She cried softly as she smiled tenderly, just for him, to place on a strong face for him "We weren't meant to be... I don't belong her". She closed her eyes as the sand fully engulfed, while the sounds of Saif roared and cries to her was slowly fading away.
Every time was pitch black.
There was nothing.
Just cold and empty, without a soul in sight.
Is this death?
Why is it so petrifying?
Isolating?
"KYDA!"
Her named echoed.
Saif was still calling out to her.
Kyda was besieged to pry her eyes open. She wanted to meet his topez eyes one more time.
She didn't want to display it in front of him that she was not ready to leave him.
She never really wanted to leave him.
She couldn't help but to fantasise a future with them. But if he witnesses her true unfiltered vehemence, it will just produce a more harmful and anguished outcome.
"KYDA WHERE ARE YOU!" Saif voice was then morphed into a feminine tone.
She was bewildered. What happened to Saif? Why couldn't she hear him? Where is he? Is he even, ok?
She struggled to open her eyes but soon enough a light hit her eye lids and that was enough to flutter her eyes open to a bright light. She was familiar by the wooden walls and its carvings. She was back in the Dr Adil medicine trunk, is she back in Dr Adil office?
A shadow figure, who called out to her. was kneeling in front of her.
"I'm alive?" Kyda queried weakly.
"Alive? Of course, your alive, you only been in the trunk for 20 minutes"
They leaned forward to reveal themselves.
"Priscilla?"
