Kyda was dripping over the well-kept wooden deck after her hour of survival in the ocean alone.
She looked up to see huge sails that's was practically non-existent in her timeline. "I'm back in the Mughal Dynasty" she gasped to herself.
The old man really did do his part.
Kyda smiled greatly and faced the sailor, who dove in to save her "Where am I? Where are you guys going?".
But before the guy got to say anything, the captain took a step forward. He was neatly dressed in a navy tailed blazer with gold detailing. The captain's button was a gold lion head like the handles of the medicine cabinet.
"Who are you?" he spoke in a gravelly, brittle manner, making Kyda shrink back in size "K Kyda".
The captain looks at the sailor who dove in for her "Take her back where you found her, we don't need another mouth to feed, we can barely feed the ones we have". Kyda eyeballs almost popped out "Put me back? In the Ocean?" she struggled to keep her cool "Isn't that too barbaric?".
The captain faced her with nothing but obvious agitation painted on his face. He stepped towards her.
The closer he got, the heavier his steps have becoming and the more the floor vibrated "Get off my ship or else I'll throw you off".
The sailor stood in between the two and laughed charmingly "She can share my portion of the rations". The captain nostrils flared up, finding the young man's approach to be distasteful.
"Please Captain, allow her to stay. I'll keep an eye on her" the huge man that was towering over them raised his one eyebrow and glanced at Kyda, who was secured behide her saviour back, then back at the young sailor "She your responsibility, if she does anything then your both off... whether we are docked or not". And with those words lingering in the air, the leader of the ship made his way to the cabin and slammed the door behide him.
Kyda stare at the direction the captain went in "Well he seems fun" she said sarcastically as the young saviour laughed. Kyda smiled at the young man.
Aww so cute
"Thanks for saving me... oh I didn't catch your name" she stated.
He looked up as the salty sea winds danced with his semi-mid length hazel hair, his jawline at a perfect sharp angle and the wet clothes displaying his built figure.
"Don't you recognise me?" he asked, making Kyda snap out back to reality "Huh?".
Another sailor gave them both towels. Kyda wrapped it over her shoulders to keep herself from shivering while he used one hand to dry his hair, but his eyes were melted onto her like waxed candles. "I don't blame you" he tried to ease the guilt on her "It has been years".
Years?
Kyda felt like she was left in the dark. She had no clue what was going on and she was desperate for answers "What do you mean by years? - wait... who are you?".
The young man smiled and placed himself next to her and softly nudged her in a playful manner.
"I used to take care of Shahzor when I was a child"
The realisation knocked into Kyda as she faced the child- well now adult man.
"Ali?"
She whispered out; she was struggling to comprehend what she was seeing before her. But the man smiled and hugged her, she slowly raised her arms and was contemplating whether to place her hands on his back.
As a end result, she did.
"How old are you?" She was confused, he was just a preteen or teen boy when she left. "20... soon to be 21, Kyda you haven't changed a bit" he was smiling as if he struck gold.
