(WARNING: VIOLENCE AND DEATH)
Before I knew it, it was daytime and I was in a car, heading back into town. Ashton had left before I even uttered a word to him, to thank him from getting me out of that situation. The other two boys were very sweet though, a little nosy, to say the least. I was offered the third bed that they had in a shared room and Ashton was never seen for the rest of my time there.
In the morning I had thanked them for allowing me to stay and left early as the black car rolled up to the hotel. One of my bosses bodyguards sat in the front seat and drove me to my destination.
I looked out the car window to see my boss and Riley conversing with one another in our usual meet up place. They stopped their conversation once they noticed our presence and waited patiently for us. Riley had his signature smile on his face as we locked eyes. "The police are searching the woods for the so called 'cabin killer'." Riley mocked. "Their looking in all the wrong places."
"Angel." The conversation was directed back to our boss who was once again covered head to toe in black and hiding his eyes behind a pair of shades. "I am proud of you, but it is only a matter of time before they get a lead." Way to reassure me that everything will go swiftly. "But that doesn't mean it will be the right lead." Now we were talking. "A guy who owes me his life will be set up for Sarah's murder and the case will be closed from then on. No more reason to search for that spoilt girl's body. Right after you left the cabin, he arrived with a knife that he coated in Sarah's blood. His fingerprints are all over the knife that was planted in the forest. Now all we have to do is wait as they announce the murder, and the murderer." I nodded my head along with his words. "But Angel, I must inform you that word has been going around that your name is being mentioned around some pretty serious people. Is there anything I may need to know about that?" Who is mentioning my name?
"What are you talking about?" I asked, concern laced in my voice.
"Mafia men are dangerous people, don't go getting involved with them because I won't be able to help you out then."
"I don't understand. I don't know anyone that's in any mafia or any gang. I talk to Riley and Riley only. I haven't been getting involved with anyone." I was confused on what my boss was talking about. Unless Riley was in some secret mafia that I had no clue about, there was no way that they would know about me.
"What about those teachers? You've also been hanging around them." Riley had his arms crossed as asked about them.
"That wouldn't make any sense though. Why would my teachers be in the mafia?"
"The same reason that an assassin is in school." Everything hit me like a tonne of bricks. I could honestly see Ashton and Radley in the mafia, but Maddox? He always came off as too friendly to me, sometimes it would even piss me off how friendly he actually was.
"I'll do my best to see if I can get any more information, but Angel. If this is too extreme, I am going to have to leave you on your own. That would include no longer working for me." I was beyond shocked. After all I had done for this man, he was willing to throw me away just like that. Was I really that worthless?
