"Good morn—"
It was Calvin.
We had our breakfast first at the hotel before going out.
We use Calvin's convertible car, I enjoyed the whole 4 minute-moment of riding on it.
Calvin himself was a good driver and has a talkative personality.
"Actually, we could easily spend a day to walk within its perimeter."
What? Just a day?
We even had an idea to rent a bike but Calvin insisted not to.
A fusion of natural and urban worlds, Stanley Park is Vancouver's premier park. It sits at the western tip of the Downtown peninsula within walking distance of office towers and shopping. This proximity to the city makes Stanley Park's giant centuries-old red cedar and Douglas fir trees all the more lovely.
Originally earmarked for repairs to British navy sailing ships, these huge trees escaped the woodcutter's axe and were preserved as part of the park in 1888. Today, the park is one of Vancouver's top attractions.
Forested paths crisscross the park, leading to attractions and restaurants. But the most popular route is undoubtedly the seawall - a waterfront walking, jogging, and biking path that rims Stanley Park.
It's best to start out with a plan before going to the park. Begin with a list of the top things to do in Stanley Park.
"Many visitors choose to bike the seawall as the quickest way to circumnavigate the large and lovely park. It's a roughly ten-kilometer loop, starting in Coal Harbour and encircling the peninsula by way of Brockton Point, the Lions Gate Bridge, Third Beach, Second Beach, and Lost Lagoon." ani Calvin habang naglalakad kami sa sea wall, nakikinig lang naman kami at namamangha sa mga sinasabi niya maging sa mga tanawin na nakikita namin.
