"Let's get going." Braeden smiled to Jailen.

A drop of sweat ran down Jailen's face.

"O-Okay!" He said as he stood up.

"Can you guys watch Jolteon?" Braeden said.

"You're not using Jolteon?!" Lee exclaimed.

"I've got someone else I want to try!" Braeden said as he ran off.

"Braeden wait!" I said but he was already gone with Jailen trailing behind him. "He never said what Pokémon he wanted to try..."

"We'll find out shortly!" Said Savannah.

"Whatever it is, I'm sure it'll be great. Right Jolteon?" Hector said.

"Jolt!" Jolteon barked.

"Dylan has moved onto round two showing a great display of power with his victory over Caroline." Said Mrs. Marrow.

Dj and Milli began walking up the bleachers to meet our group.

"Awesome battle guys!" I told them.

"Milli great win!" Said Savannah.

"That was great! You did your absolute best Dj!" Lee said.

"You guys were awesome!" Said Preston.

"Thanks guys." Milli said as he rubbed his nose.

"Aghhhh!! I can't believe I lost so quickly! You're something else Milli, great battle!" Dj said as he stuck his arm out.

Milli smiled and shook Dj's hands.

"And our third battlers of round one are walking onto the battlefield! It's Braeden vs Jailen!" Said Mrs. Marrow.

Braeden began walking onto the battlefield while Jailen did the same on the other side.

"Jolt!" Jolteon barked:

"Mhm." I said to Jolteon. "There's Braeden!"

"Do it Braeden!"

"Good luck!"

"You got it!"

Do your best!"

Braeden's friends all cheered for him which forced a smile on my face.

"Good luck Braeden!" I said.

"Ready Jailen?" Braeden asked opposing Jailen.

"I'm ready! I'm nervous but I can do this!" Jailen said.

"Trainers, bring out your Pokémon." Mr. Kaplan said.

"Farfetch'd come on out!" Jailen said as he threw out his Poké Ball, and his Galarian Farfecth'd appeared.

"Far!" It said wielding its big leek.

"Jailen has decided to go with his Galarian Farfecth'd! A pure fighting type! So what will Braeden choose?" Mrs. Marrow commentated.

Braeden flashed a confident smile.

"Okay! Here it goes!" Braeden said pulling out a Poké Ball. "Drilbur let's go!"

He threw his Poké Ball into the air and his Drilbur appeared.

"Huh?"

"What?"

"Really?"

Braeden's friends were just as shocked at his choice as I was.

"Drilbur... an interesting choice!" Said Mrs. Marrow.
