Dylan's POV

"N-Nice to meet you Zeraora! My names Dylan, I was the one who walked your egg." I told my newly hatched Pokémon.

"So that's why Zapdos was protecting it...! It was taking care of a mythical Pokémon!" Said Dj.

"Amazing...!" Preston said.

"Zer?" Zeraora said as it looked around.

"My name is Braeden, this is my partner Jolteon." Braeden smiled at Zeraora.

"Ora!" Zeraora said as it punched me in the stomach.

"Oof!" I said as I fell to the ground.

"Zera!" Zeraora said as it ran away from us.

"Dylan are you alright?!" Braeden asked as he helped me stand up.

"Ugh... I'm fine. Where's Zeraora?" I asked.

"It took off over that way!" Lee said.

"After it!" Milli said.

Our friend group and I ran after Zeraora but it was extremely fast.

"Damn! That Pokémon is too quick!" Said Hector.

"Well yeah! It's the fastest of all mythical Pokémon!" Blu said.

"So how are we supposed to catch it?" Shimon asked.

"Jolteon think you can reach it?" Braeden asked.

"Jolt!" Jolteon barked as he began to run so fast he looked like a yellow blur.

"Zer?! Zera!" Zeraora said as it dashed off even faster than Jolteon, and left us in the dust.

"I-It's even faster than Jolteon!" Said Milli as Zeraora blitzed out of the school.

"Come on it left the school!" I said as we kept running.

We burst through the back doors, where the battlefield was.

"It's Zeraora!" Blu said.

"Not just Zeraora... Gabe's there too." Said Lee.

Gabe was our training with his Beartic and Electivire. All 3 of them were glaring at Zeraora.

"You interrupted our training. Get lost." Gabe coldly said to it.

"Zer..." Zeraora said as it kept looking up at Gabe.

"S-Sorry Gabe!" I said as I ran to Zeraora.

"That's your Pokémon?" Gabe asked.

"Yeah it just hatched from its egg a few moments ago, sorry for interrupting your training. Zeraora please comeback." I said.

"Zer..." Zeraora spoke and it didn't budge.

"Why won't Zeraora go?" Dj said.

"Hm... it was interested in watching me train." Said Gabe.

"Zeraora are you into battles already?" I asked it.

"Zera..." Zeraora said.

Gabe scoffed.

"Zeraora was drawn to me. It recognizes our strength." Gabe smirked.

"Elevti!"

"Bear!" His Electivire and Beartic spoke.

"Uh oh..." Said Preston behind me.

"Recognizes your strength? Don't forget I was the one who got the egg from Zapdos, I was also the one who took you down in the Pep Rally Cup." I told Gabe.
