Chapter 45

Omar's POV (this is when the girls are still at the mall)

Right now the guys and I are at the grocery store to buy some food for the picnic. I decided that I'll make a couple sandwiches, watermelon, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, fruit salad, and bottles of lemonade.

I'm really hoping that Addy will like this picnic and will forgive me. She's the best thing that has ever happened to me. I can't just loose her with one big argument without fighting for her. Addy was right. I wasn't really showing that I was trusting her and in order to keep my relationship with her I'll need to trust her ; especially with the Calvin situation.

After we got all the food and drinks, we put them in a basket and got a picnic blanket. We then started to buy lights we would hang on the trees. The park is really big and we found a perfect part in the back where there are a bunch of trees and there is a big space in the middle of two of them where we'll put the blanket and everything.Brandy found the space earlier when he went on a walk and took a picture of it.

It took us about fifteen more minutes to get everything else and head to the house. Right before I opened the door my phone vibrated.

Ciara ~ Hey, we're gonna be going back in like an hour or so

Me - Okay but don't come any sooner than that. We still need time to get everything ready.

Ciara ~ Okay we'll stop at an ice cream place for a little snack on the way home then

Me - Okay

Ciara ~ Kay, see Ya soon

The guys and I got to work right away. We didn't stop until everything was ready... okay so we took a little break to eat some snacks, but hey can you blame us? We've been out the whole morning with no snacks!

It didn't take us that long to finish making everything since it was just going to be Addy and me at the park. Which reminds me.

" Hey guys, where are you going to eat?"

" Ciara, Maddie, Yolo, Cam, and I planned on going to Steak 'N Shake after we get you guys set up," Brandy said putting all the chocolate covered strawberries in the picnic basket.

" Oh, okay. I was just wondering since you know."

" It's fine. You just worry about you and Addy," Cam said with a small smile.

" Thanks. I really appreciate your guys' help. I just can't bare to loose Addy, especially since the school year is almost at an end and I won't be going to the same school as her next year."

" Hey, you're our friend, and friends help other friends out. Besides we know that you care for Addy a lot and that she cares for you."

After we finished getting everything ready we made some decorations, and walked to the park.

There were a lot of people, but it was only in the front of it. The back, where the "special place" is didn't have many people. I started to set all the food out while Brandy and Cam hung up the lights and paper decorations.

By the time we finished it was already five minutes before Addy and the other girls were suppose to arrive. Cam and Brandy went to meet the girls at the entrance and bring them here and then they'll leave Addy and I alone so we can have a great night! I look at my watch again and see that I have four minutes left. This picnic will help save my relationship.

Addy's POV

We got to the park and saw Brandy and Cam standing by the entrance. I started to get suspicious but decided to just leave it alone.

" Hey guys!" Maddie waved to them.

" Hey, you guys wanna take a walk with us?" Cam asked.

" Sure," I said.

We walked for about six minutes talking and just having a great time, but then I saw a huge tree with lights and paper decorations hanging on it. In front of the trees there was a picnic blanket with a bunch of food and beside it was Omar. He was holding three roses. One red, one blue, and one white. I gasped and turns around to see the rest of my friends, but they were already gone.

I turned around to face Omar with a shy face. I couldn't believe he did this for me. Omar walked up towards me, smiled, and gave me the roses one by one. I smiled wide but immediately frowned remembering the things he said to me. Once he saw the frown on my face he looked panic.

" What's wrong? Don't you like everything?"

" It's beautiful, but I can't just forget what you said last night."

" Addy you know I didn't mean it. I wasn't thinking right. When ever Calvin's name is mentioned I get angry and I let anger get the best of me."

" It's not that.... I've been thinking about what would happen next year. We'll be going to different high schools!"

" So what? It's not they're that far away! We can be in a relationship even though we're going to different schools."

Addy shook her head with a small frown.
