You and Me

Chapter 22

Alex's pov

I was at my Aunt's house for the afternoon because my mom was working and I would be all alone at the house. I decided to go on a walk around the neighbor hood and passed by the street Addy lived in, at that moment I remembered what Ciara had told me before we left school.

*Flashback*

I was at my locker putting my stuff into my bag, after about 2 minutes I finished packing closed my door and headed for the doors. I was stopped by Ciara and Maddie on my way out.

" Hey can we talk to you for a minute?" Maddie asked.

" Sure" We headed to the little garden at the back if the school and say under a big tree.

" Look we just wanted to know how you were doing with all this stuff going on" Cara said.

" I'm fine but I just want Addy to be my friend again. I hope that we'll be able to talk the next couple of days since we are in the same group in math" Ciara and Maddie looked at each other and sighed. ' I hate when they do that it's creepy, they always say the same stuff and do the the same stuff no wonder the band teacher called them Caddie' I thought to myself.

" What's wrong?"

" Look Alex, Addy really doesn't want anything to do with you right now she's upset. She told me that she won't talk to you at all but she will listen to you. The only people she'll talk to in math is me and Brandy. She's hurt and I think you should talk to her before tomorrow and explain to her about everything" Ciara said. I didn't stay for any longer, instead I got my bag and walked to my aunt's house thinking about what Ciara had just said.

*End of Flashback*

I saw Addy sitting on her front porch doing her homework. She was facing the other way and had her earphones on, I decided that now would be the best time to talk to her. I just hope she doesn't try to ignore me.

I walked towards her and tapped her shoulder, when she turned around she didn't seem happy. What am I saying? of course she won't be happy I cheated on her for goodness sakes. She was about to go inside her house but I stopped her by grabbing her hand and pulling her so she would face me.

" What do you want?" she asked coldly to me. I didn't say anything but instead I gave her a big hug. She hugged me back and I felt tears on my shirt, I pulled away and looked at Addy.

" I'm so so sorry, I never meant to hurt you Addy. I really did like you but for some reason I just went with Charissa she makes me go crazy. Addy I still care about you and I want us to be friends again. I can't go a day without regretting what I did to hurt you. Will you please forgive me?"

* Skipping to the future. They are in 8th grade now and it's the middle of the school year*

Addy's pov

It's been almost six months since Alex has apologized. I can't say I forgave him but I can say that we are talking to each other. Right now Ciara, Maddie, Yolo, Cam, and I are in the office because we are going to be showing a new kid around. I have a hard time trusting people now because if what happened and I am not looking for someone special right now.

" Okay guys meet our new student Omar" We introduced ourselves and started the tour. He was really nice and funny and he is on the same team as us. he also has the same classes as me except for band. We became really good friends and I have to admit that he is kind of cute... Addy what are you thinking you can't like him you just met him!

" This is our part of the hallway, the green team. This is our science lab, and that is the advanced math class." we continued to show him around until we showed him all around the school which took us about 2 class periods. Him and his mom thanked us and talked to Mr.Smith for a little a bit longer while the rest of us went to our 3rd period class.

" Well that was fun. Omar is cool" Cam said.

" Yeah he was funny and nice" Maddie said. Yolanda and Ciara agreed and then the 4 of them turned and looked at me with smiles on their faces.

" So what did you think about Omar?" Ciara asked with a smirk on her face.

" What do you mean?" I said.

" Oh come on Addy we saw how you were looking at Omar!" Yolo said.

" I don't know what you're talking about"

" Addy don't lie to us we all sa-" Saved by the bell!! I ran towards my history class and sat down at my seat which is in the middle of the room. None of my close friends were in my history class but well all have 4th,6th,7th and band together. I also have 2nd period with Ciara which is math. I took out my notebook and pencil while the teacher was taking a quick attendance.

" Alright class today we will talk about the civil war, make sure you take lots of noted because we will be having a test about this next week. I will provide you with some facts that you must memorize for the test" Great I'm going to fail, did I mention that I am not the best at history. I was failing this class earlier in the year but luckily my friends have been helping me.

*end of school*

Finally!! The school day was going by soooo slow. I'm happy that the day is over, now I can just go home finish my homework really quick and relax for the rest of the day.

" Who want to go to Tasty Freeze before we go home?" asked Cam. We all raised our hands and started walking to Tasty Freeze. When we got there Alex and Charissa were sitting at one of the tables. Charissa is still really mean and I still don't know why Alex likes her but it's his choice not mine. Alex saw us and waved to us. We all waved back and got in line.

We finished our ice cream and headed home. I decided to go to Ciara's house and so did Maddie. Yolo had to go to a soccer game and Cam had a bunch of homework so we said our goodbyes and started walking. When we got to her house there was a moving truck right next to her house.

" Well that's surprising I didn't even know that someone bought the house" Ciara said. We walked into her house and her mom greeted us.

" Hi girls how are you?"

"Good" we all say.

" That's good, say can you girls do me favor?"

" Yeah sure" Ciara said answering for the three of us.

" Can you give our new neighbors these desserts your dad made for them?" she pointed to the kitchen, there were 3 trays. One with brownies, one with cookies, and one with a cake.

" These are all for them?!?!? What about us??" Ciara asked. Haha Maddie and I laughed at Ciara's reaction.

" Haha anak relax, you're dad made some for us to" (anak means child or children it's Filipino for those who don't know)

Ciara sighed in relief and then smiled. Before we went to give the desserts we finished are home work in her room. At our school people in band either have band during encore or study hall and since none of us were in wind ensemble (the really advanced band) we had our band class at the end if the day when everyone else would have study hall.

We finished our homework and got the desserts. I'm excited to see who Ciara's new neighbors are.
