Chapter 39

Omar's POV

I can't believe Addy and I aren't going to be in the same high school next year! I thought everything was going to be great, but now, now it's changed. My girlfriend won't be by me anymore, will our relationship still work out with us being in different schools? I mean we can still hang out with each other during weekends.

But the thing I'm most worried about is Calvin. He and Addy seem to have made a quick friendship really fast, kind of like how Addy and I became friends fast.

" What high school is Calvin going to?" I ask through gritted teeth. I feel like I could blow up any second now. I did not want Calvin to be going to the same school as Addy. They are already close friends and I haven't seen anybody become close friends that fast simce Addy and I first medt I won't let that happen, I'm scared that she'll fall for him and forget all about me. I can't let that happen, I look at Addy who seemed a little frightened to answer but then looked at me in the eyes and said, " don't know." She looked at Cara to see if she knew, she did.

" Calvin's going to mine, I think" she said.

I took my tray, threw my garbage away, and stomped away from everybody, leaving them in confusion. I will not let this new kid steal my girlfriend. I will not let Addy fall in love with him.

Cameron's POV

" What was that all about?" Addy asked.

" He's probably just stressing about not having you at his side all the time next year," Maddie said giving me the go-check-on-Omar-look, while Addy was looking at the ground.

" I'll be right back. I have to go use the bathroom," I say.

I stood up and walked quickly inside the school. Once I entered the school I went straight to the small gym. I know that's where Omar goes when he's stressed because he usally kicks a soccer ball around to calm him down. I walked in the gym and saw Omar kicking the soccer ball around. What did I say? He loves soccer just as much as he loves Addy, ( but he loves Addy waay more than soccer.) He had'nt noticed my presence so I ran up behind him and kicked the ball away from him to make him turned around.

" WHAT WAS THAT FO-" he stopped yelling right when he saw it was me.

" Dude what's going on with you? You've been acting different ever since Calvin came."

" It's nothing."

" Yeah right. It is not ' nothing '. "

" Just leave me alone Cam."

" No. Not until I know what's going on with you. Just tell me and I'll leave you alone," I say seriously.

" You really won't leave until I tell you, will you?"

" Yup."

" Okay, fine." We sat down in front of the closed bleachers and I listened to everything he said.

He told me everything about how he felt and how he thought Addy would forget about him and fall forf Calvin.

" Omar, I think you should trust Addy a little more. I mean if she did like Calvin then we would of noticed."

" You never know. She could fall for him when we're in different schools next year and break up with me! I can't let that happen!"

" Omar, what would you possibly do to make sure Addy won't fall for Calvin. I'm not saying that she will of course," I add the last part quickly.

" The answer is simple. I'll do anything
to make sure Addy won't go with Calvin," he replied evilly.

" Why can't you just trust that Addy won't hurt you? Haven't you heard the saying ' trust is like paper, once it's crumpled it can't be perfect. Addy's trust was crumpled but you gave her a new one. She has given you her trust after her horrible story and now your going to break it for something like this?

He stayed quiet. We stayed like that for about 5 minutes until I finally decided to just leave. I sighed and got up, then I turned around to face Omar.

" I sure hope you know what you're doing Omar," and with that I walked through the doors and went back to my other friends who were talking.

" What took you so long?" Addy asked.

" Sorry, there was a little trouble on the way there."

" Oh okay, so do you guys want to go to the beach this weekend?"
