Chapter 31

Omar's pov

Right now Cam and I are at the mall. I needed to find something good for Addy since I'm gonna ask her out today, I'm scared that she'll reject me.

" Dude she won't reject you. You worry too much," Cam said trying not to laugh.

" What? How di-"

" You were thinking out loud haha"

Of course I was, I groaned and hit my hand on my face.

" Haha dude it's fine, I think out loud to. In fact it happened to me right before we came here."

" What did you say?"

" Well I was thinking and then the girls yelled my name like 3 year olds and I then I remembered that it was our friends and they got all mad haha"

" Wow Cam" I say while laughing.

" Hey they did sound like 3 year olds"

After a couple more minutes we reached this jewelry store. The lady who worked in the store looked up and smiled at us.

" Well what can I do for you two gentlemen?" She asked sweetly.

" I'll have a coke please,"Cam said. I elbowed him and him and the worker just laughed. I made a confused look.

" Relax dude, the worker is my older sister haha."

" Ohhhh" I say.

" Haha, hi I'm Riley," she greeted me while sticking her hand out to shake.

" Hello, I'm Omar."

" Okay so what are you guys really doing here?"

" Well you see, my friend Omar has this MAJOR crush on Addy," Cam explained emphasizing the word major.

I rolled my eyes at him and looked around the place.

" Ah I see, well come on over. I'm sure we'll find a great present for her," Riley said gesturing us over to a glass counter filled with necklaces.

There were so many, I didn't know which one to pick. Then I realized that I should get one that says the words "I Like You" so it would be easier to tell Addy how I feel about her. I told Riley what I wanted and she smiled.

" I've got the perfect one for her!" she ran into the back room and came back with a box in her hands.

" Here why do you think about this one?" she handed me the box opened so I could see it. To be honest I thought it was perfect, it was plain and simple. There was a heart on a chain with the words " I like you" on it.

" It's perfect, how much does it cost?"

" Don't worry about it I'll pay for you," she said sweetly.

" What? oh no! You don-" she cut me off.

" Look Omar, my brother has told me all about you. I also know what has happened to Addy. You guys look cute together so I insist on buying it for you."

I hesitated for a while but then figured out that I wouldn't win anyway. I sigh and give her a smile.

"Thank you Riley."

After she wrapped up the necklace Cam and I went back to his house to go to the park. I hope everything goes as planned.

Addy's pov

So right now the girls and I are in Cam's basement watching tv. The guys went out to get something and his mom went to work. I know what your thinking Isn't it weird staying at your friends house alone when no one who lives there isn't even home? Well the answer for us is no. We've been to each other's houses so many times that it's basically our house too, we are family and our parents even agree.

All of our families are super close and I'm glad about that. Sometimes we'll have a big cook out and just spend time with everyone. Even though I haven't known them as long as they've known each other ( I'm talking about Maddie, Cam, Ciara, and Yolo) I still feel like I've known them my whole life. Ciara, Cam, Maddie, and Yolo's family is really close 'cuz their mom's went to the same college and are really good friends, it's creepy and cute at the same time.

Oh and my dad was really close friends with Ciara's dad when they were younger, but my dad had to move because his dad was also in the military. Anyway back I what the girls and I were doing.

" So Addy are you excited to be having a picnic at the park?" Yolo asked.

" Yeah! I love having picnics at the park."

" Yeah but it's your first time having a picnic at the park with Omar!" Maddie exclaimed.

Oh yeah I forgot about that part.

" So?" I asked.

" So, aren't you excited? I mean the park is a romantic place to ask someone out!" Ciara said.

" You guys are out of your mind, don't you remember the whole group is going, not just me and Omar."

" Well you never know, anything can happen."

" Haha your making it sound like we're going to Disney World where are your dreams come true."

" Whatever, oh wait I here the guys upstairs!"

Just then Cam and Omar came down stairs. I looked at Omar only to see him looking at me, we starred into each other's eyes but looked away when Yolo said awww.

" Haha okay guys leave the mushy gushy stuff for the park" Cam said jokingly. I glared at him and hit him in the shoulder.

" Ha ha ha very funny, let's just get to the park before it gets too late," I say.

" Okay" they all say.
