Chapter 14

Addy's pov
I woke up at 6 in the morning. I don't know why but I always wake up early. I decided to just walk on the sand before breakfast so I got up and got ready. I walked into the bathroom and looked at myself I'm the mirror, my hair was a mess, sticking up all over the place. I took a quick shower out on some shorts and a shirt and put on my flip flops. I then went quietly down the stairs trying not to wake anyone. I got down safely and went out the back way walking close by the water.
Once I got by the water I sat down and put my feet in. It felt really relaxing. Then out of the blue I started thinking about how Ciara was acting last night. She was very quiet and she's usually talking during a movie talking about what she thinks is gonna happen or how she either like or hated the part we watched. Ciara seemed.... Well I can't find the right words but I think she is feeling frustrated. Like she doesn't know what to do, I think I'll talk to her later to make sure she is okay. I pulled out my phone and checked the time it was already 6:40 and I noticed that I had a text.

Alex✌️- hey u wanna go to the ice cream place in the afternoon? Just the two of us.

Me- yeah sure :)

Alex- Kay well I'm gonna sleep a little longer btw go back to bed! I didn't think u'd be awake :p

Me- wat can I say I'm an early bird🐣🐥 and just make sure ur awake by 8 cuz that's wen we eat breakfast.
Alex- yea yea cya later

I smiled and went back to looking at the ocean it was so pretty in the morning.

Alex's pov
I just got done texting Addy. I'm still thinking about what I'm gonna do. After that day Ciara and I had that "talk" I have been thinking about which girl I'll pick. Addy is great!! She is pretty, nice, funny, and she just has a great personality. Charissa on the other hand we I really don't know. Something about her just makes me go crazy. I know it's wrong cheating on Addy but I just can't help myself. I really need to think this through maybe my little "date" with Addy at the ice cream shop will help me pick which girl I really like.
I looked at the time and it was already 6:50 I decided to sleep for a little longer since I woke up at 5. So I just later back down in bed and fell back asleep.

Addy's pov
It was now 7:30 and I was getting hungry so I went back inside and walked to the kitchen. To my surprise my parents we're already in there making breakfast.
" Hey sweetie!" They both say

"Hello" I say while smiling

" So how's your little vacation with your friends?"

" It's great! I can't thank you enough for doing this."

" It's no problem at all we know how hard you have been working on your little movie for reading class. You guys need a little break from your hard work."

" Yeah we are almost finished and the good thing is we'll turn it in early so we won't have to worry about turning it I late."

" That's great honey!" My dad says. He's always been the strict one for school.

" Addy can I talk to you in private?" My mom asked.

"Sure" I say nervously. She doesn't normally give me "talks" unless it's important. We walked into her room and both sat down on her bed.

"So what did you want to talk about ma?"

" I just wanted to know how you and Alex are. I haven't gotten a lot of information." She said

" Oh well we're good. He's really sweet, nice,funny I just like everything about about him. His personality and looks you know the usual." She nods and smiles.

" You must really like him huh"

" yeah I do" I say slightly blushing

" So have you guys kissed yet?" She suddenly says trying to hold back her laughter.

My eyes grew big and checks got red like this 😳. Oh gosh.

" U-um n-n-no why'd you ask?" Aw man why did I stutter while saying that, she's gonna know now.

" Sweetie no need to be embarrassed you can tell me anything" she says with a smile.
I can't believe I was gonna tell her this. I opened my mouth but then my dad yelled out BREAKFAST!!!! Saved by the bell hehe.

" Sorry mom looks like breakfast is ready!" I tell while walking out the door. I see that everyone is already at the table with a plate of pancakes and bacon yummy😋. I sat down and started eating the delicious food that my dad made.

" So what are you kids planning to do today?" My dad asked.

" Maddie, Cam, and I are gonna go to town for a little." Says Ciara. She then looks at me and gives me a "you better be thankful look" I wonder why. And then it hit me. She wants me and Alex to have alone time.

" Addy what are you gonna do?" Asked dad.

" I guess I'll just hang out with Alex at the beach and get some ice cream." I say. " oh and later on we should all go to the carnival that's close by!"

"Okay!" Says everyone.

" Kay be home by 5:00 then we'll go there." I say.

Once everyone finished their breakfast Ciara, Maddie, and Cam walked to town while Alex and I were at the beach making a sand castle. I must say that we make a great sand castle making team. After a little while Alex went inside the house to get some snacks while I'm just sitting on my towel staring at the ocean like I did this morning. I decided to check my phone is I had any messages and I did.

Unknown - Stay away from him! He's mine!
I was confused once I read that. Who could this person be? How did they get my number? Who do they want me to stay away from? All these questions were popping up in my head. What should I do? Should I tell someone or should I just ignore it and keep it a secret? My thoughts were soon disturbed when someone sat down next to me.

"Hey are you okay?" It was Alex. I lifted up my head to look at him and smiled.

"I'm perfectly fine"
