Chapter 23

Ciara's pov

We were on my new neighbors front porch waiting for someone go answer the door. After about a minute or 2 and a really familiar lady came to open the door.

"Hi I'm Ciara and I'm your new next door neighbor, these are my friends Maddie and Addy" I say with a smile.

"Hi there sweetie I'm Melissa"

"My mom wanted us to give you some treats to welcome you to the neighborhood"

"Awe thank you girls, here come on in and I'll introduce you to my kids" we all walked in and set the food in the kitchen. The house wasn't completely finished but it was getting there.

" Kids come done here, we have company!" Melissa calls her kids down. Once they all came down I saw one familiar guy.

Addy's pov

Oh my gosh! Omar is Ciara's new neighbor!! Wait why am I so excited? Do I like Omar? No, I'm probably just happy that our new friend can hang out with us a lot.

" Girls these are my children I'm pretty sure you know Omar. I would like to thank you again for showing us around the school. I must say he was very shy before we got there but you guys made him comfortable and I am truly thankful for that" We all smiled at her, she is so nice.

" Mommm" Omar said quit embarrassed.

" It's ok, Maddie, Ciara, Yolo, and Cam did the same with me. They all helped me become comfortable at the school last year" I say with a smile. He smiled back at me. We stayed there for a while and just talked. It turns out that he is from Florida and he moved because of the same reason as me. His dad was in the army, and they had to move here. I'm glad that I know someone who understand what I was going through and did I mention that his dad is also taking a little break? I didn't oh well he is! All of a sudden I felt my phone buzz.

Mom - Hey sweetie your dad has some friends coming over for dinner so you'll have to come home now

Me- Okay, I'll ask if Ciara can bring me home... see you soon

Mom- Okay

I put my phone back in my pocket and asked Ciara if she could take me home. She said sure, Maddie was sleeping over to so we said our goodbyes and left their house. Ciara's mom dropped me off, I thanked her and went to my ro to get ready. My mom was busy in the kitchen cooking so I didn't want to disturb her. I wonder who dad's friend is.

Ciara's pov

When we got back to my house after dropping off Addy and dropping by Maddie's place to get her stuff we went up to my room.

" Did you see how Addy was starring at Omar!?!" I asked excitedly.

" Yes!! She totally like him and I'm pretty sure he likes her back. He kept starring at Addy when she wasn't looking." Maddie said.

" We should play matchmaker don't ya think"

" Haha yes!"

Maddie and I made our plane for Addy and Omar being together. In this plan we needed the guy to help out a little, we decided that on Monday his first day of school we would talk to him because Addy will have to miss lunch because of an appointment or something. I hope this plan works because they would make a perfect couple! Plus it's almost been six months since that day, Addy hasn't talked to any boy but Brandy, Cam, and Alex. she needs to start again.

We just sat on my bed talking about our plan until my mom called us for dinner. We went downstairs and sat down. Maddie sat next to me.My sister across, mom on the other side of me, and dad was sitting in an extra chair next to Caitlyn (My sister). We just talked about how our school year was.

Addy's pov

I finished getting ready. I just wore some plain skinny jeans with a nice red top. I also curled my hair and just left my glasses on my desk. I went down to see my family.

"You look great honey! Oh and I forgot to mention that our guests have a son your age so maybe you can get to know him" my mom said. I don't know why but when she said that I thought if Omar.

The bell rang and I went to go get it. I opened my door and was very surprised to see who it was.
