Chapter 40

Addy's POV

My parents decided to go to the beach where I had my fourteenth birthday. They wanted me to have some time with my friends before high school. It is Thursday, 9:00 in the morning. We have a four day week end because of conferences. School ends in two weeks.

Omar will also be coming with us. Lately he has been acting very strange, he won't let me talk to any other guys except for Cam and Brandt. Other than them, no one, especially Calvin. Omar's hands always clench into fists when he sees Calvin so I decided that it would be better if I didn't invite him to the beach, just to make sure nothing bad happens.

It's 11:00 in the morning and right now I am in a huge van with my parents, Maddie, Yolo, Cam, and Omar. We are waiting for Ciara and Brandy to get hjere and then we'll head to the beach. Five minutes past and they still haven't arrived so I decided to text Ciara.

Me - Hey, are u and Brandy on ur way? Everyone is here and we're all waiting for u 2

Ciara Bear - Yeah, sorry there was an accident right in front of the exit.

Me - Oh okay

Ciara Bear - Yeah, sorry again. We'll try to be there in 10 minutes

Me - Okay, see you then

About fifteen minutes later Ciara's car was parked next to Cam's side on the driveway with her and Brandy coming out with their bags.

" Hey, sorry it took so long," Ciara apologized.

" It's okay," I said.

We all piled into the van and started for the beach. It was quiet for a couple minutes but it was soon broken by my parents who told us what we weregoing to be doing over the long weekend.

" Okay kids, our plan for this weekend will just to have fun. You can go to the beach, the park, carnival, horseback riding,shoppimg, and a bunch of other activities."

" Awesome," Brandy and Cam said high- fiving each other.

For the rest of the car ride we just talked, slept, and listened to music. Once we got to the beach house we went into the rooms we were in last time we came here. I was unpacking my things when I heard some music cominhg through my window. I opened my window so I could hear it more clearly, it was " Rude' BY MAGIC. Except it was an acoustic version. ( The song is on the side.) I stayed by the window until the song ended.

Saturday morning jumped out of bed and put on my best suit
