You and Me

Chapter 10

Addy's pov

I was still waiting for Alex, it has been about 20 minutes since he went to use the bathroom. I didn't think it would take him this long to use the bathroom but then I see him. He is holding a picnic basket walking towards me. He stops at the bottom of the tree and we stare into each other's eyes for a while until he broke the silence

" Well don't just sit there! This beautiful picnic isn't gonna disappear by itself!"

I laugh and get down from the tree to help him set up the food. We both finish up the food and just lay down on the picnic blanket to rest. Then we went to play some games and Alex won me a huge teddy bear! After we played a couple more games we went to race on the slides , but he won. We then decided to go on the Ferris wheel so we stood in line for a nice 20 minutes and finally got in a cart. I have to admit I was a little scared of heights but I didn't want anyone to think I was weak not this time at least.

We were on the very top and the view look amazing. You can see the moon beginning to show and the people down below doing what they were doing. I turned to look at Alex , he was staring at me , then he smiled and cleared his throat. It looked like he was nervous or something. I wonder why. Then all of a sudden the cart started to shake and there was a loud sound from the ground.

"ATTENTION RIDERS! THE WHEEL HAS BROKEN DOWN, DO NOT BE ALARMED WE WILL GET IT TO WORK AGAIN IN 15 MINUTES!"

Great we are going to be stuck her for another 15 minutes, but I shouldn't complain I am with the guy I like. I look again at Alex and this time he started speaking.

" Addy I really like you." I was in shock but then I realized that I haven't said anything yet.

" I like you to." I smiled and looked straight into his eyes. I couldn't believe this was happening, it seemed like I couldn't stop smiling.

Alex's pov

" I like you to." I couldn't believe she actually likes me to. I am just so happy right now. She's smiling while staring at me, while I stare at her. The wheel was still stuck but it's only been 10 minutes so hopefully they will keep their word in getting it to work in 15 minutes. I then remembered that I had to give Addy the charm bracelet. I got it out of my pocket and start to speak.

" Addy have something to give you." she continued to look at me while I open the box to reveal the bracelet. Once she see's it her eyes light up.

" Oh my gosh,It's beautiful!" I got it out on the box and put it on her hand. She hugged me really right and then the Ferris wheel started moving again.

Addy's pov

I can't get over how beautiful this bracelet is. There were three charms on it one was a heart, the other was an angel, and the last one was the world. I wondered what they meant but I decided to wait until later. We finally reached the bottom and I asked if we could meet Cara and Maddie back at the game booths, he said sure. I text them to meet us there and they said they were ready there.

Once we got there I see everyone playing the ring toss, they were all laughing and having fun. Cara sees us and runs over to greet us.

"Hey Addy, Hey Alex!"

"Hi" we both say.

" So how's your night so far?"

"Good, we got stuck on the Ferris wheel for a couple minutes but nothing big." I say.

"Well at least your here now, come on Cam's gonna try to get the huge Ty-dye teddy bear!"

So we walk over there and watch Cameron attempt to try to get the teddy bear. He failed a bunch of times but at the end he won it. We all hung out for a little while then went back to our picnic spot so we could watch the fireworks.

It was now 8:20 ten minutes before the fireworks. Alex and I were both sitting on the branch I was stiiting on before when he was 'using the rest room'. It was really comfortable up there sitting right next to each other.

Alex's pov

I can't explain what I'm feelin right now. It's a mix of emotions right now, but mostly happy. I'm sitting on a tree with the girl. it was now 8:25 I decided now was the time to ask her to be mh girlfriend I was really nervous.

" Addy I need to ask you something." She looks at me so I can continue.

" I know that we just met and all but I want to know if you'd like to be my girlfriend." I was so afraid she was going to say no because she thought it was to early, but I was wrong it was the complete opposite.

" I'll be happy to be your girlfriend." she says it with a smile on her face and leans her head on my chest while my arm is around her. I'm happy I can call her mine and hope it will stay like. I look down at her and smile. Then we both start leaning, it was a magical moment and I felt the sparks between us. The fireworks had started but I didn't care because I was with the person I cared about most. The kiss ended when we saw a light from a cellphone down below. We both see who it is and of course it was Ciara and my cousin Maddie. They weren't alone though everyone was there and saw us.

"AAWWWEEEE" They all say. I rolled my eyes and Addy laughed. We all focused on the fireworks after that. Tonight was the best night ever.
