Chapter 9

*still Addy's pov*

I walked and opened the door to Alex who is holding a rose in his hand. He gave me the rose and quick hug, he also told me that I looked pretty which of course me blush. I got on my shoes put the rose on a table and then we started walking to the carnival. It was at central park which if right next to the Great Oak high school. Alex kept on doing crazy stuff the whole way there until he accidentally bumped into a woman who got really mad. We finally arrived at the carnival and let me just say the place was huge. There were those racing slides, game booths, food, picnic areas, pony rides, petting zoo, Ferris wheel, and there was going to be a fire work show later on. Alex said he needed to use the bathroom so I waited by a nice tall tree and noticed that it could be easy to climb up. I climbed up to a large branch my back leaning on the tall trunk and feet laying straight on the branch. It was very peaceful

Alex's pov

I told Addy that I needed to use the bathroom but the truth is that I needed to get the picnic stuff that I planned out from Maddie because her mom was the one who mad the food. Please you didn't really think that I would make the food and if you did well let's just get back to what I planned out. First Addy and I would have a nice picnic, then I would give her a little charm bracelet on the Ferris wheel that I bought, and then I ask her to be my girlfriend and watch the fireworks together. After I stop day dreaming I find Maddie and her friends sitting at a picnic table with a basket in her hands. I started to run over there.

Maddie's pov

I was waiting for Alex to pick up his picnic for him and Addy to eat. I know he likes her a lot but I also know that something bad is going to happen. I don't know what or how I know I just do. Alex runs up to the table and says thanks but I pull his wrist and tell him we needed to talk before he ran off. I pull far from the table so no one could hear.

" Why did you pull me....." I stopped him before he could finish

" Chill I just wanted to tell you to be careful with Addy. She is one of my best friends and if you break her heart I break your face." I say it with a straight face so he would get the hint.

" Okay okay I get it, don't worry I won't do anything to hurt her I really do like her a lot and I wouldn't do anything to hurt her." he seemed very serious so I just sighed and let him go back to her. I was serious about me breaking his face if he breaks her heart, just because he is my cousin doesn't mean I have to be nice to him all the time and always be on his side.
