ADDY'S pov

I was in my room cleaning out my bag. When I went brought out my math binder a piece of paper fell out. It had my name written on it in cursive. Who could it be from? None of my close friends give me notes, they would just what they need to say in front of my face or on text message. I decided to open it tomorrow, I didn't want to ruin this big day with some silly note. I put the note somewhere safe and continued on cleaning out my bag. There were so many old projects and assignments that I don't even remember doing. Most of my folders were all ripped and filled with writing on it from my friends like: MADDIE WAS HERE or YOUR FAVORITE PERSON WROTE THIS

I would always see something new on my folders from people in school and even my family friends would write on them! I threw those out and out all my projects and old papers in a box. My mom called me down to eat a quick snack before I started getting ready.

" I can't believe you're graduating! It seems like it was just last year that we moved here!" my mom started ranting on about how much I've grown the past year and a bunch of other stuff that I didn't hear since I blocked her out.

"Mom we did move here just last year," I told here rolling my eyes in a playful matter.

"You know what I meant. You've just grown up so fast. You're going to be a freshman in just a couple months and- excuse me" My mom started to tear up.

" Moomm, don't cry."

"Sorry sorry, just a little emotional today. You better go get ready now. We're leaving in an hour and a half."

"Okay" I pushed my chair out and went back up to my room.

I just finished putting on my dress and fixing my hair. I decided to wear two-inch heels and a nice red dress that goes up to my knees. We're getting our gowns at the high school. I couldn't stop smiling, I was just to excited.

"ADDY, COME DOWN STAIRS TO TAKE PICTURES," and then there was that. I absolutely dread pictures. They always take a bunch of pictures and I never know where to look. I saunter down the stairs into the font yard where my family was. I stood in between my sister and dad who was holding my little brother, smiling at my mom who had her phone ready.

"Say cheese!" and it continued to be like that for the next ten minutes until my dad finally told my mom that we'd be late if we didn't leave now while giving me a little wink. I hold back my laugh and smile back at him. We got in the car and headed to the high school where the ceremony will be held.

~.~

The traffic was pretty bad, but I got there with enough time to spare. I went directly to the classroom that my homeroom was assigned to while my family went to the gym to find their seats. Once I entered the classroom I saw many people with their blue gowns and caps on.

"ADDY!!" I turned around to be in the crushed by my four best friends.

"Guys, I can't breathe!!" they all laughed and let go of me.

"Are you guys ready for this?!?" Cam asks excitedly. You can actually see him bounce up and down with a big smile on his face.

"Yeah, but I need my gown," I say with a small giggle. Ciara came up to me with my gown own in a plastic bag with a smile on her face.

"Here, I forgot I had it."

"Thanks!"

I put on my outfit and continued talking with everyone in the room and taking pictures, which I surprisingly didn't mind. We all smiled at the camera and then made funny faces. We even did some weird poses for some pictures. After about thirty minutes it became quieter and more cam. We had to line up alphabetical and line up in the hallway. There were a bunch of other homerooms already lining up in the hallways. The teachers made little speeches in the hallway about how great we were this year and how they wish us the best for the future and then we started walking to the gym. I could here the seventh graders who signed up for graduation band playing. All the memories flash back in my mind. The day I first me everyone, the day I met Alex, the day I went on the date with Alex, my birthday at the beach, my first break up... everything that has happened this year to today.  The past year sure has been interesting, but I can't wait for what will happen in the future.

My team was the first one to be seated then red, and then white. There were about four hundred students here. I was seated in the front row a couple seats away from Ciara. The band kept on playing until the last person was in the gym. The principal said a few words and we did a couple things before the ceremony officially started. The valedictorian went up and said their speech and Mr.S said his speech. He then asked those who got an award for school participation for any sports, musicals, plays and asked for a round of applause. We then started getting ready to receive our diplomas. My row stood up and lined up behind the stage. It was silent, due to the principal asking that no one claps until the very end. The first person was called, then the next one, and then the next. Soon enough it was my turn to go up on the stage.

"Adamarias Artgea." I walked up on the stage with a big smile, shook my teachers hand, grabbed the diploma, walked down the stairs, and shook the principal and vice principal's hand. Everyone was watching, some people smiling big for their friends and others looking very anxious. I saw my Cam, Maddie, and Yolo in their seats smiling at me ad giving me a thumbs up. When I sat back down I saw Ciara through the curtain waiting to be called.

"Ciara Adams" she walked out and had a smile on her face. She did the same actions I did when I was called and looked at the crowd, probably smiling at our friends in the back and then looked at me. The rest of the ceremony went on with everyone's name's being called. I would smile at my friends who were called and give them a small thumbs up.

"Cameron Mabins" He practically jumped on to the stage when he heard his name. I had to put my hand over my mouth to make sure I didn't laugh. I looked over at Cara and saw her shaking her head with an amused look on her face. He quickly looked at with a huge grin before going back to his row.

"Maddie Eadens" Unlike Cameron, she walked out calmly and smiled at everyone. She walked back down and glanced at us with a small smile before shaking the principal's hand.

"Yolanda Vacanti" She came out looking at Cara and I's row with a smile and then looked at the rest of the gym before going back to her seat.

~.~

"Students please stand." we all stood up with a look of pure happiness on our faces.

"Congratulations class 2014-2015! You guys are now done with junior high. Our whole staff wish you luck in high school and wherever you are in the future."

Everyone starts clapping and cheering, the band starts playing again, and us? We all smile wide as we leave the gym and head back to the place where the graduation party will be held. My friends all find me and we start to squeal, except for Cam. He just stands there with a grin on his face.

"And that's the end of our middle school story," Ciuara says.

"Now, it's the beginning of our high school lives!" Maddie exclaims.

"Well come on! The party's going to start soon. I'll see you guys there." Yolo says as we all separate to go to our families. My mom's the first one to see me and give me a big squeeze.

"I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!"

I laugh and hug her back,"Thanks mom." The rest of my family comes and hugs me and we start to leave for the party. This school has turned my life upside down, but it came with so many memories that I would never give to anyone. I can't wait to see what the future has for me, even if somethings won't be too good. I have friends and family who care about me and will help me get through the challenges.
