Chapter 20

(Still addy's pov)

I saw him. He was with the girl he picked over me, they were sharing a ice cream together and smiling/laughing together. I threw my garbage away and ran to my friends who all have me hugs.

"Don't think about him Addy, he is not worth your time" Ciara tells me.

" No boy is worth yours tears Addy now smile, being sad all the time isn't healthy" Maddie says.

" Come on Addy they're right. Don't waste your time on crying over a dumb boy, just have fun and be happy" Yolanda says.

Cam gives me a big hug and tells me that everything will be alright as long as I smile. I love my friends they are there for me no matter what, I could just give them a text message with a sad face and they'd come rushing to my house making sure I'm okay. I give them all a hug and thank them.

" No need to thank us just be happy, well I gotta get going now ya know school starts tomorrow again" Ciara says as everyone agrees. We all say our goodbyes and go our separate ways back home.

Once I get home I run up the stairs and change into some comfy clothes and lay on my bed watching tv until my mom called me down for dinner.

" Hey hon, how your day?" my mom asked.

"Good we finished our project so we're turning it in tomorrow" I say.

" How are you and Alex, you guys haven't been spending time that much and he seemed sad when he left early. Is everything thing alright?" I shoot. I forgot that my mom didn't know anything about what happened, should I tell her?

"Oh uhhh... We broke up"

" Oh I'm sorry honey do you wanna talk about it?"

"No it's okay my friends have helped me already but if I still need to talk about it then I'll be sure to go to you" I say forcing a smile.

"Okay well finish up your dinner and go to bed, school starts again tomorrow" I finished my dinner kissed my mom on the cheek and went upstairs.

I brushed my teeth then my hair and plugged in my iPhone to the charger. I finally got I to bed and immediately fell to sleep.

*Next morning*

I woke up to my alarm clock and went in the bathroom to get ready. Ciara is coming over before school so we could walk together. Right when I finish getting ready my mom calls me down to eat.

" Morning Addy" both of my parents say.

"Morning" I say back.

" Are you excited to go back to school?"

" Oh yeaa super excited" I say sarcastically whole rolling my eyes. Both of my parents laugh and go back to eating their breakfast. About 30 minutes later Ciara came. She smiled and greeted my parent and then me.

" Good morning Addy's parents and good morning Addy" she says.

" Morning" we all say.

"Hold on let me get my bag and flute" u say. She nods and I run upstairs to my room. I put my phone in my pocket, grab my flute case, and then sling my bag over my shoulder.

" Bye dad, bye mom!" I say before I exited the door.

"Bye love you!"

Ciara and I just talked about what we would do over summer.

" I can't believe that next year is the last year before high school" she sighed.

" Are you not excited" I asked.

" You don't know?"

"Don't know what?"

"Well there are two high school Great Oak and Eastwood, everyone is going to be going to either one of those and I'll be going to Eastwood with Yolo. You,Maddie,and Cam will be going to Great Oak."

" We're going to be split apart?"

" Yeah, but don't worry, we'll still see each other a lot."

" Promise?" I say while sticking my pinky out.

"Promise" she says crossing our pinkies together.

The rest of the walk we just talked about how exciting it was to film the movie. About 5 minutes before we arrived at school we bumped into Cam and Maddie and walked the rest of the way with them. Yolanda was waiting for us at the front doors and we all walked to our lockers which weren't that far from each other. We talked and then went to our our first period class, I hope nothing bad happens.

Hey guys! I'm gonna try to update a lot the next couple of weeks before school starts. Thank you all for reading this far, I was kind of scared that not a lot of people would read it but it's almost at 300 views so thank you so much again.
