Chapter 44

Addy's POV

We arrived at the mall in less than 10 minutes. We all got out and headed inside the mall where many people were walking different directions.

" So where are we going first?" I asked.

" Let's go to Forever 21 and see what they have," Ciara said looking up from her phone. She was on it the whole car ride here. Who's she texting?

" Addy?" Yolo said.

" Huh?"

" Are you okay? It looks like something is troubling you."

" Oh I'm fine. Just thinking about stuff but come on we need to find some new outfits and you need to tell me about your night with Trey."

Right as I finished that sentence Yolo's cheeks started turning red. Awww how cute.

" Let's just go to the store," she said trying to hide her red cheeks.

Ciara and Maddie were already there with a bunch of other clothes in their arms. They smiled really big when Yolo and I walked in. Uh oh this can't be good. And I was right, it wasn't.

" We're dressing up Addy first!" They screamed at the same time.

Ciara pushed me into one of the dressing rooms and shoved a bunch of clothes into my arms before leaving the room.

" Make sure you come out after every outfit!!" Maddie yelled out to me.

I sighed and started trying on all the clothes. Some of them were really good like. I tried on many dresses, skirts, pants, and tops.

After a long time at Forever 21 and other stores like Aeropostale we went back home.

I went to my room to put all the bags away and went down to the kitchen to grab a snack. Yolo came down a couple minutes later.

" Hey," she greeted.

" Hi," I say after swallowing my Oreo.

" Do you want to go to the park, you know just to relax and stuff?"

" Yeah. I definitely need some time to relax at the park when I could just sit at the beach that is less than twenty steps away," I say sarcastically half joking and half serious.

" That's the spirit!"

I rolled my eyes and put the Oreos back in the pantry.

" So when are we going?" I asked, ignoring the grumbling of my stomach.

" In fifteen minutes. I'm going to go change really quick," Yolo said.

" Okay, I'll go get ready then."

I walked up to my room and looked for a nice outfit. I don't know why but something in my head is telling me to dress up a little even thought I'm just going on a walk at the park.

I picked a white t-shirt that said " Nobody Cares" and a skater skirt with white and black stripes. I tucked my shirt into the skirt and put my hair into a side ponytail. I looked at my reflection and smiled feeling proud of how I looked. I decided to just wear some plain black shoes and went downstairs again.

All the girls were standing in the living room smiling. I smiled back at them looking at their outfits. Ciara was wearing a pair of blue shorts with a red and white flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up; her hair was also straightened. Yolanda was wearing a tropical dress that ended at her mid-thigh to, with her hair a little curled. Maddie was wearing a pair of green shorts and a white blouse with her hair in a high pony tail.

" Okay, well lets head out now. The park is only a five-minute walk from here," Ciara said.

" Okay," we all said.

Once we got out of the house Maddie asked how Omar and I were doing.

" Um, we kind of got into a fight last night."

" What? Why? What happened?" Ciara asked.

" Well we were in his room talking and then I decided to ask why we've been arguing because we have been arguing a lot recently," I started to explain what happened the other night "but it all ended with me slamming the door."

" Aw, don't worry we're here for you and we know that you would never leave Omar for anyone else.... Especially for Calvin...."

" Thanks guys."

For the rest of the walk we talked and laughed. I haven't had time to spend time with just the girls.
