Chapter 10

I follow behind Dar'ke in the flower field the small white flowers lightly crunch under our feet. I am kinda pissed at him for roughly grabbing me earlier like I was a large sack of flour he was hucking over his shoulder. Also I very embarrassed about the bathroom break on cliff. I hoped that he didn't hear me fart. I would pretty much die now if he did. I also got a sneak peek at how '''adult''' Dar'ke was. 'He was huge there was no way something that large would fit....wait fit? Bad Chris bad Chris' I scold myself for the 40th time today.

We have been walking for hours now I think it is hour 22 of 36. The silence is starting to get to me a bit. I start to feel squirrely, I mean the planet we are on is beautiful however.  It's kinda all the same. This part must be all the same terrain. Mind you unlike before when animals would try and approach me there is nothing like that now as far as I can see. Except from some flying creatures way off in the background.

'Thats because you have a giant space cat that is giving off do not come near vibes' I think to myself as I shrug my shoulders. It wasn't a bad thing it was just kinda strange.

"Chris did you have any needs to take care of before we move forward" Dar'ke suddenly asks me out of nowhere.

Taken a back I pause before I answer, 'I wasn't thirsty, I was a bit hungry but I can put that off and I wasn't really tired. Not that I would tell him if I was . I didn't want to be a mimic of a flour sack again.'

"I am good Dar'ke" I say as I give him a thumbs up and a wink "What about you ?" I ask inquisitively

"When a yautja is on the hunt we can go several days without rest or food. I want to make sure if we need to stop that we can find a safe spot" he says then continues hesitantly "There are many hard meats around and I can see the paths they are traveling. We are a good distance away. However that can mean nothing if we are caught in the open with a swarm"

I look at the back of his head. Feeling insulted and flattered as well. 'Chris you are the weakest link!!...Atleast in this duo...it makes sense that he is concerned. But I took out one of those fuckers yesterday I should be okay if we run into them again' I think to myself.

"Thank you Dar'ke for you're concern but I will let you know if anything comes up before becomes a concern." I shot back at him."I wouldn't want to burdened you" I said in a sharp sarcastic voice with my hands on my hips definently.

Dar'ke turns around and just looks at me and shakes his head. Then begins to chitter and I see his shoulders moving up and down. 'That bastard is laughing at me!' I think as I glared at him.

He walks over and puts a hand on my shoulder. He purrs to me "I meant no offense little one. Oomans are built different. Example in 72 earth hours yautja only need 4 to 6 hours of sleep. How many did you need?" He asks me.

I think back to the time back on earth I would sleep 6-12 hours depending on how lazy I wanted to be. However since being here on this planet I was normally sleeping 12-15 hours a day here.............'I've been a lazy fuck' I scold myself. But I had to be realistic  cause my sleep patterns would make a difference to our journey.

"In 24 earth hours I generally sleep 6 hours. The days here are 36hrs I can definitely push myself if need be. However in the next 90 hours I probably would require 3 to 4 sleep sessions of 4-6 hrs of sleep." I say embarrassed by my failings for not keeping awake longer. I mean I can get on with energy drinks but thay could cause other issues.

Dar'ke opens his wrist gauntlet and pokes at it. " I plugged in the information so it will give me a warning when I need to search for a spot for us to rest. If you need anything before then speak up" he said in a you better tell me voice or I am gonna be pissed off voice.
