Chapter 75

I was feeling where the pups were in Chris's belly. The flutters were very strong! I wonder if I could start training them while they are in her womb. They responded well to my touch. I could feel the flutters start to slow...it made me a bit sad.

I notice Chris is looking up at me "Dar'ke they need to sleep now. At this stage the pups don't do much but eat and sleep" she said to me softly

"Chris your telling they take after you then?" I chittered at her jokingly

She gave me a playful growl "Dar'ke that may be kinda true now but I will be more helpful!"

I hurt my little Mates pride. I nuzzel her neck an Purr at her to make her relax. "Chris are you ready to hunt?" I ask her.

She smiles and nods at me, I lift her up to her feet an I take her hand. I show her how to keep quiet as we go thru the trees. Making almost no sound and keeping down wind of the Raptors.

I am patient with her as I point out which ones in the pack would make for good opponents and trophies. Chris seemed to be a bit more natural and less awkward in hunting this time around.

She was fascinated by the animals on this planet. I can't wait to show her the other ones! She had seemed really excited about them before. Also I wanted to show Chris my true hunting abilities by getting one as a trophy.

As we go to the jungle floor I cloak and watch as Chris as she separated 2 adult male Raptors from the pack. They go at her but she is beautiful as dodges an swiftly removes the head of one them. The other comes at her more fiercely.

I am not far behind her. I make sure that her and the pups are safe. While not interfering in her hunt. As the male Raptor tries to jump and claw at her. She grabs it foot in mid air with her short scythes and cuts off the foot. The long clawed foot just drops to the ground with a thud as the Raptor screeches. It hobbles and goes in for a killing bite.

However Chris goes underneath and slices it head off. The head goes flying the rest of the body just falls on it side. Chris is smiling and making happy sounds. "Dar'ke look I did it!!" She says to me happily.

"Chris you did an amazing hunt" I purred to her with praise as I stroked her soft hair.

"Is it okay if I put the bodies in storage for now?" She asks me.

"You can Chris, but keep the skulls out we will process them now before we move to our next hunt. " I said to her. She looked very happy as she got to work.

After putting the bodies in her inventory and grabbing the skulls I picked her up and lepped thru the trees to make it to a large ledge on a rock face. Down below was a good clearing that I could bring the large beast to so Chris could watch me.

Chris gets to work and starts to process the skulls. These ones were a lot easier to clean then the hardmeat skulls we had done before together. She seemed to be taking very good care not to chip or crack the bones.

"Dar'ke do you think the pups would like these as decorations for their crib?" Chris asks me.

"Chris what is a crib?" I ask her, confused by what she meant. She explained to me that Oomans usually have small beds for their pups when they are in suckling stages.

"Chris generally when the pups are born they will share the bed with the bearer. That way they have access to food and care. Once they are out of their suckling stage then they usually have they're own bed" I said explaining to her while cocking my head to the side.

She seemed a little sad while looking at the skulls. "I could treat the skulls with a special coating when we get back to the ship. They could be the Pups first toy" I say to her encouragingly.
