Chapter 144

We finally make it to Maini's ship. Dee Dropped out of warp and hooked the 2 ships up. Maini came on to the ship...Oh my god! She is so beautiful!! I may be a human female but damn! I must remember that I will be seeing Hopper soon.

She had a chilly air of control that seemed to surround her. Even before she had one foot into our Ship she Ordered Fa'tae to pilot hers. I showed her where Chris was sleeping.

Maini face seemed to be a mix of rage and sadness. Maini looked at me an I blurted out Chris's wellness report. Everything that has happened since she was just about shocked to death. The words couldn't come out fast enough.

Maini nodded an started to scan Chris with a device. "Ceillia you did very well thank you for looking after her. Your medical knowledge of Ooman bodies really helped out. " She said to me.

"I owe Chris a lot...if there is anything I can do to help out please let me know." I say to her Sincerely.

Maini seemed to chittered amused by my statement. "You are Hoppers Ooman Mate correct?" She says to me as she takes out a medikit. She draws some blood from Chris's feet. She had to use the needle in between Chris's toes....? That was odd, but it seemed to work.

"I am indeed, I feel very lucky to have such an affection partner. I can't wait to meet Vil'Lai and the others! I am really excited to see my new family." I say to her happily.

Maini looked at me with an amused Expression on her face. "They will be happy to see you as well. Vil'Lai has been bragging about you, an how much you have helped her already" Maini chittered as she takes another scan.

I blush...I have only talked to Vil'Lai only a few times. I hope I could live up to her expectation of me. "I haven't been help at all...but I hope to be a great help to the family in the future!" I say with all my heart.

Maini chatters at me happily "That's a good attitude to have Ceillia. For the record you have helped to keep Hopper in line since you two met. That has saved Vil'Lai and the other mates a lot of headaches....Hopper can be difficult to handle..." Maini says to me as she checks Chris's pulse.

I try to think what she means...I mean other then a snack addiction Hopper has been nothing but wonderful, an very affectionate! I mean he can procrastinate at times, an could be very sly to get what he wanted...but he was a billion times better then anyother male that I ever had in my life!

I remember back to what Chris had told me before "Oh is it cause Hopper isn't bugging them looking for affection or making sly plans to trick them anymore?" I ask Maini

Maini looked at me closely "It seems that our clan has only encountered smart Oomans...." she said quietly before continuing "Female yautja generally perfer to be independent. The thought of a clingy and highly affectionate male is usually considered a huge turn off, or a disadvantage for that bearers clan." She said matter of factly.

"Ah....makes sense then" I say to her carefully. I wanted to get angry on behalf of Hopper but this was not the time nor the place. " Maini how is Chris doing? How are her pups?" I ask her.

Maini let's out a sigh..."Thanks to Payas blessing there shouldn't be any long term affects from the shocking. Her fever has broken, I still need to give her an her pups some IV fluids. The only concern is that her placenta has separated a bit. I thought it would have healed up by now...however it hasn't. With too much movement it could shed away from her womb wall, that would lead to the pups dying of suffocation and or starvation.  It will be best if she stays laying down for now. With as little stress as possible till it is time for her to give birth." Maini says while sending a message.

"I can help out when we get to the planet! I can be there if she needs anything." I say to Maini with passion.

"Ceillia, thank you we have already arranged for her care. However if you like to visit you would need to let Vil'Lai know first so she can ask Sooni on your behalf...I don't think there will be any issues." Maini said to me with a purr in her voice as she pets my head.
