Chapter 103

We arrive back on the main ship. After we put the Queen into a cryogenic chamber. Its duties as normal.

I walk into my room, it seemed empty and cold again. I go to check the console. I have messages from Sooni and Maini. It seems that Lu'Nye has been acting up. He is getting to that age where he needs to be more independent.

I get through a few more messages and I get to the one from Chris. My hearts flutter at the sound of her voice. I set it on repeat as it takes a few minutes for my brain to process what she is saying...cause I am honestly very happy to hear from her!

It felt like another part of my soul was missing with her gone. I lay down on the bed. The furs still hold her scent. It's very comforting...I need to get back to my duties. Hopper was taking some time off to be with Ceillia. I felt a stab of jealousy.

I prayed to Paya that this mission be the last one where Chris is away from me!

Ceillia was looking a few of my new trophies. I had killed a couple of Hardmeats that had unique skull. I made sure to keep them. She was watching as I was cleaning them, an listening to me chatter on how I hunted them.

Having her full attention on me made me feel very happy...like the killing of a hard meat queen! I was granted time off to be with Ceillia. Crash had been also granted Time off. It was like a dream come true! I was a bit worried about Dar'ke but it was better for him to be busy.

Atleast he is staying on ship rather then seeking out single missions to do from the council. I would still keep an eye on him.

"Hopper anyword on Chris?" Ceillia asks me.

"From what we got from Dee as a report Chris was very clever an seemed to have fooled Bru'tae. I think she will be fine...but Ceillia keep away from Dar'ke. He will be cranky until she is back." I warn her.

She nods at me "I will do that, so will be training tomorrow?" She asks me.

"Yeah training starts back tomorrow, however I got my duties reduced so I can eat with you here, as well as spend more time with you." I say with a purr in my voice.

I see my Mate flush with the blood rushing to her face. I chatter at her happily...

Crash was finishing the new cybernetic eye for Dee. This had advanced features, it was better then most Bio helmets. Dee was waiting sitting in Crashs shop.

The healers had installed the back portion needed for the new eye and cleaned up Dee's orbital socket. Dee hadn't flinched at all when they did the painful operation. Crash had noticed that Dee was pretty much silent since after he gave his report.

Crash makes the final scan and applies some lubricant to the eye and slips it into Dee's socket. "Dee take a look, how does it feel?" I asked him

Dee looks around and seems very pleased "It works fine...can I turn it off and on?" Dee asks me.

"Its connected to your gauntlet like bio helmet. You can do it either a command on that or with thoughts." I say to him

Dee bows "Thank you for this gift" he says before returning to the kitchen. He and Fa'tae had a lot to learn, this was their only chance to prove themselves. We will be watching them closely...

It was day three on Bru'taes ship so far other then being called to the bridge that one time I haven't seen another soul. I can hear the violent celebrations off and on outside. Thank Paya the doors were thick and solid.
