Chapter 56

I awake in the room after sleeping for a while. I reach up and touch my face, its fully healed. A little numb in places but that will probably go away soon. I can't believe that I cried like that! I have been through worse shit then this...I flop on to my back.

I suppose if my heat is coming soon then this could be hormonal. Great...something I don't need right now. But that did make sense when the 10 days before my period I would be kinda crazy. From crying at sad pet commercials on TV to unbridled road rage when a fucker cut me off on the highway. There was usually no in between the extremes in mood.

Great I was part yautja before I even knew it. I laughed out loud in the empty room. I took out a medikit that Maini had given me that had the heat suppressants in it. I took one of the syringes out and stabbed it into my thigh. She would probably kill me however I needed to test it anyways. Plus if it helped to put it off by a week or two. It wouldn't be a bad thing. I take a full single syringe and pop it into my inventory. For easier access later on.

I do regret that a clan member died today...by Dar'ke hands, when I should have been the one to take out that fucker!! I roll over on to my belly on to the furs. I hear a light knocking at the door.

I go to the door and unlock it I see OldOne with a Tray of food. He looks very concerned. I give him a smile and let him in and we sit at the table and pours me another herbal brew drink. This one thankful tasted like soured green apples and spinach. Which was easier to stomach, he refused to leave till I finished all my food.

"Thank you OldOne for bringing this to me I really appreciate it. " I say to him

"Matriarch I should do much more for you, due to my negligence behavior you ended up being hurt...that is inexcusable and dishonorable of me. If there is anything you need please ask me and I will assist" he says to me Sincerely. He also looks carefully at my face relieved to see that it has healed up.

"OldOne the dishonorable actions were done by the former clan member. Not by you, Dar'ke understands how head strong I can be. It was a situation that should have never happened in the first place. I should have taken either Dee or Fa'tae  with me to the hall. It was honestly a cluster fuck waiting to happen. Lesson learned we know to not to do that again." I say to him

"Matriarch you are too kind for your own good. " OldOne chitters kindly to me.

"Maybe so however I have to be me. Speaking of which is Dar'ke and Hopper still training the older clan mates now?" I ask OldOne.

"Chris they will be finishing up shortly. You should stay here and rest. " OldOne scolds me

"I promised snacks and Dar'ke gave me permission for today only. Are Dee and Fa'tae still in the kitchen?" I ask him

He nods and presses a few buttons on his gauntlet. In less than 5 minutes I hear runners. The door Opens and Dee and Fa'tae try and enter at the same time getting stuck in the door. I giggle and OldOne growls them to stay outside the room.

"Are you still Pups? You are not allowed to enter the clan leaders room without permission!!!" OldOne hisses angrily at them. I can't help but laugh.

"Matriarch are you doing better now?" Fa'tae asks me

"I am doing fine now, are you two up to helping me bring out snacks and drinks to the older clan members? It will be over soon and I am sure with Dar'ke and Hopper they will definitely need a snack after training. " I say to them.

Dee and Fa'tae looked horrified. Dee speaks up "Matriarch you are to be resting...the Clan leader gave us orders not to disrupt you." He chittered out concerned
