It looked like Sooni was paying attention to her gauntlet. Maini was giving the sleeping pups a scan. To check their over all health. I was just watching to see what I could do to help.

I was not happy that my Sirer and Chris went out of the room earlier. I knew Sooni had ordered it but I was not happy with them having alone time...wait they couldn't be doing 'that!'.

"Are they done yet?" I hear Maini ask Sooni.

"Yeah they are in bed passed out now. Chris's complexion looks a lot better now." Sooni said with a sigh of relief.

"What...?" I ask them seemingly confused.

"Chris's complexion as well as the quality of her milk has gone down in the last week. Due to lack of certain hormone levels in her body. They can be stimulated via either mating or being pregnant...or both. This is to ensure that the pups have a good chance of excelling while they are in the suckling stages." Maini said to me matter of factly. Blindsiding me with the realization.

"Is it even safe for them to do that? Its nearly been a month?" I ask Maini a bit shocked of what I was hearing.

"Chris's body has healed much faster then my own..." Sooni says as she gets up to take a look at the pups " She probably could mate safely after a week after giving birth if she wanted to" she says to me seriously.

I felt sick, like I had been repeatedly gut punched. "The main thing now is for her to maintain that quality of her milk. I have never seen anything with such healing properties" Maini exclaimed excitedly. "This could allow yautja to go on hunts like never before.." she pondered out loud to us.

The pups were starting to wake up, Jay'Ve and Sha'On were starting to wiggle. I picked them up and moved them to another pup tent to allow Green an Brown to rest longer.

It was odd to have such young pups to have names as well. This was by no means a normal birthing season. I watched as Jay'Ve let out a big yawn before he opened his eyes an sat up. The little pup seemed to recognize me an flared his little mandibles into a grin.

Jay'Ve an Sha'On liked looking at the map displays that would come up. They would growl to one another an point to places. They seemed to have an understanding of where they were in the compound. As well as the difference between Sooni's an Chris's room.

Jay'Ve liked to chew on the hardmeat necklace that Chris had given me. Sha'On just straight out gnawed on my other forearm. They had 2 teeth each an felt like more were coming in.

Brown an Green were a bit delayed compared to Jay'Ve an Sha'On but they were catching up quickly. In terms of mental development they are not like new borns by any means they are more like 1 to 2 year old pups.

They haven't tried solid food yet...mind you Sha'On would try an find things to chew on, trees, plants, dagger hilts...I had to watch him closely. Jay'Ve was much more laid back. He would chew on either my necklace or a bone that Chris had laid out as a chew toy as she called it.

She had ones out for Green an Brown as well. They didn't seem to need the chew toys yet. I started to do simple exercises with the new pups. They recognized if I point to an object an do certain hand signals they knew to go get the object or to move it to a different spot.
