We head towards the hall I had been leading Dar'ke. However I stop before we head in and move behind Dar'ke. My big space Kitty chittered at me.
"Chris no one is going to say anything..." he says to me
"Dar'ke...I hope your right! But I still must adhere to manners. They might question if I walk ahead of you." I say a bit unsure. Honestly not that they would really give a damn. However I can hide my small frame behind Dar'ke much larger body easily.
If I can slip in and out of the hall hopefully I can avoid some embarrassing moments...maybe.
We enter in the hall it's about half way filled and is filling up. They part ways letting Dar'ke and I head to the lead table with Crash and Hopper. I saw that there were whispers and chitters in our direction.
I heard Dar'ke give out a shut the fuck up Growl to the young ones. As we sat down Hopper was chittering laughing at us. If only I were 2 seats closer I could punch him out myself. I waited for the commentary of the Hopper.
Surprisingly he said nothing but just chittered on. Dar'ke started the breakfast off once the first round of Yautja were all in attendance.
They really liked the food that made me happy. I was super hungry as well mind you I still only could eat 1/8 of what everyone else was eating. But it was still good.
There was a lot of chatter going on in the dining hall. Some were figuring out whether they were going to attend my class or train on they're own while waiting to train with Dar'ke and Crash today. Hopper was in charge of the bridge normally.
There was a lot of debate going on a out the up coming mission. What it would entail and how many trophies they were going to try and get. I got some looks especially from the unblooded ones. I couldn't tell if they had questions or if they were aiming for my head as a trophy.
I felt bad for them cause I could smell a pissed off space kitty next to me. He was probably going to put them through a training hell like no other. I looked over to Dar'ke and shook my head.
"Dar'ke I need to stand on my own to prove my worth....remember you are only as good as your last battle. That is the yautja way." I said to him with confidence that if I couldn't win them over with cooking skills that I would beat the shit out of them.
He growled at me "Chris you are right...but keep in mind I have only so much patience when it comes to disrespect. If it gets to a point where I need to step in and discipline them...they will not survive" Dar'ke said Sincerely.
I knew that what he was saying was true. From what I have learned from this complex society order. If a female mate was on a ship that as the Matriarch she should be respected. However given that I am an Ooman some have let that unspoken rule slide. Also if you want to get technical I was a blooded hunter before a mate...so go back to default hunter rules of pecking within the clan. Law was you are only as good as your last battle.
If you fought against another Yautja generally you fight to the death for honor. If you leave your opponent alive after a fight. They will normally be dishonorable and will end up killing themselves to regain some honor standing back. However if you defeat a fellow hunter and leave him alive and gift him a weapon after battle. It is a sign of respect and that the one that is more experienced will train the weaker one with skill to become stronger.
It gets complicated also there are a ton of rules and things that can happen. But as base line that was pretty much the norm on the ship and in yautja society as a whole.
"Chris in the middle of your class do you mind if I pop in and observe?" Hopper says out of the blue.
His question pulls me away from my thoughts. "Yeah I have no issues with that if you have any tips let me know afterwards" I say excitedly.
