Tanomi and I arrive at Maini clinic...in one piece! Thank Paya!! Tanomi puts me down on the clinic bed and looks at me. "Chris you really need to stop getting hurt like this!" She scolds me.

I roll my eyes at Tanomi she practically ended me dashing back to the clinic so fast!! I think I left my stomach in the dining hall.

"Not...intentional....harm...Tanomi!" I say to her with a scowl on my face.

She just chitters at me. "Whether intentional or not Chris you seem to draw harm wherever you go. We are lucky it hasn't really affected the rest of the family...well Dar'ke is a lost cause at this point. That's a whole other manner." Tanomi rambles off at me

Is this a scolding? Or is she trying to passive aggressive her point to me like my aunt use to do to us as kids. I am a bit confused. I cock my head to the side and watch her as she goes through Maini's clinic. Talking and rummaging at the same time.

"What...are ....you ...doing?" I ask Tanomi

"Well I was a bit...aggressive with my second girl the other night. I ended up  using my claws a bit to much. So she is very swollen and uncomfortable. I know Maini has meds around here to help out with that..." she says to me as keeps looking

"Why...not...ask...Maini help?" I say to Tanomi

"If I told Maini about it she would help, but she would have to report it. My girl is kinda a fugitive hiding from her clan...So if medication goes missing while your here Chris it just goes under used for Ooman care" Tanomi says a bit bashfully

I am being used as a scapegoat...wait the medication she need was for the girlie bits right? Oh I know how to piss off some Xenophobic yautjas.

"Tanomi let...me talk...to Maini...when she...gets back...I will...request the medicine...under the...pretenses that...Dar'ke and....I have been....mating a lot" I say to Tanomi almost out of breath from that

"Chris you would do that for us?" Tanomi eyes lit up.

I nodded "She is ....your girl...your true mate...our family...we look after... each other."

Tanomi looked very emotional she bear hugs me and I end up coughing a bit of blood up again. Just as that happens Maini pops in seeing her patient bleeding again. Fuck my Life.

"What in the Paya are you doing to Chris!" Maini roars

Tanomi explains to Maini the issue and what her and I agreed to. I sit there nodding, Tanomi seems happy about everything ....Maini not so much.

"Are you sure Chris?" Maini asks me

"I am...sure" I say back

"Chris tomorrow a few of the council members will come to visit to check on you...You will need to answer their questions truthfully. They so called caught the guards that provided the poison to Nomi and executed them as well." Maini says in a flat tone

"So be...the stupid Ooman...and agree with ...the council right?" I say in a sarcastic tone

"Exactly Chris" Maini says as she gets the medicine for Tanomi.

Great... so play nice with the ones that more then likely want me dead. Got it! This is starting to go game of thrones on me. Why couldn't this be a simple...? I know why cause it would be to fucking easy!!

As I get lost in my thoughts I noticed that Tanomi has left. Maini was still around as I could hear her. I lay down  on the bed and just close my eyes.

My body is healing faster now I can feel it. Tomorrow I should act somewhat sick in front of the elders just to bait them a bit. Mind you would that even matter? In a couple of weeks the clan will head back into space and back on the hunt.
