Chapter 33

I arrive to Nomi's apartment door. I knock on it and she opens the door widely inviting me in. The feeling of red flags and death flags were screaming at me in my head.

"Hello Nomi it's good to see you are well. I have great news for you would you like to hear it?" I try and sound excited

"Of course Chris! Come in sit down I have drinks prepared." She said

"It seems like Sooni and Dar'ke conceived in 3 days. However Sooni kept him trapped reviewing a 100 years worth of data crystals. He looked so exhausted!!" I say truthfully

"Sooni did that!! That's impossible...." Nomi said in shock

I nod "Maini believes that the same should happen with her as well. If that is a case you will have Dar'ke all to yourself for a lot longer. That is great news is it not?" I say with a smile

I wait for Nomi to take a drink before I sip the C'ntlip from the cup she provided. She seems like she is extremely excited "Chris will you be mating with Dar'ke this breeding season?" Nomi asks suspiciously

I shake my head "No Oomans don't really have a breeding seasons not like yautja females do. Also it would serve no purpose I can't have pups of my own.... so I wanna make sure to the mates like you that can have my full support" I Sip slowly on the drink

"I appreciate it Chris you and Krysis as she is now are the only 2 that support me. The other mates just ignore me or treat me like a lesser Male. Its not fair!" Nomi slams her drink onto the table

If I hadn't known that Nomi had gutted Krysis like a fish I would honestly have some sympathy for Nomi. She really hasn't had an easy life and being looked down upon all the time and not even being really part of the clan or any family of her own...it was kinda pitiful.

"Sooni wants me check in with her tonight and tomorrow morning Nomi. She is extremely eager to start my training. If I am not here she wants me on the training grounds asap! Sooni is very into training isn't she?" I asked Nomi

Nomi mandibles curl up into a dark grin. "That won't an issue Chris, just head into my bedroom when you need to I will wait out here. "

"I can just do it in front of you Nomi, I have nothing to hide." I say suddenly feeling a chill....

"No I insist dear sister" Nomi says with a push.

Great either she is poisoning me right now. Or she paid some smuck that is in the room right now that is waiting to attack me the moment I get in....damnit I have to follow manners. In the 1% chance she may be telling me the truth

We continue chattering with one another and time passes quickly however I noticed that Lu'Nye was no where to be seen. This was very concerning. As night began to fall I excuse myself. "Nomi I will be right back I am just giving Sooni a heads up . I will be right back." I say to her and she nods at me to go ahead.

Her room was very beautiful it had many different Silks covering the marble walls. I look around then take out my communicator that Sooni had given me still keeping the one Dar'ke had given me hidden.

"Sooni just wanted to give you a heads up all is going well in Nomi's room. There is no need for concern" I say into it

Sooni responds back "Just keep your guard up Chris. Report to me in the morning. I will be by at noon to pick you up"

"Thank you Sooni also can you check on something for me please. I haven't seen Lu'Nye around do you mind checking the clinic later? If he had another 'training accident' I would like to know, please" I say

Sooni pauses and goes silent "Chris are you sure you want to be at Nomi's right now?" She had twinge of panic in her voice.

"Sooni everything is fine, Nomi is being good and treating me very well"  I say carefully.  I know Nomi is probably listening to everything that we are saying.  "Listen you keep yourself safe Sooni and we will talk tomorrow okay? " I say as I feel dread creeping into my body
