Chapter 64

I woke up to Dar'ke coming into the room he looked haggard. My big space cat wobbled over to the bed and literally fell with a flop! It was too funny. I wiggled over to see if he was okay.

Just then his large arms capture me and he brings me close and nuzzles my neck. "Dar'ke are you okay my Mate?" I purr to him as I cuddle into him.

"I am fine now, it's been a while since I did over night duty. I think I might be getting old..." Dar'ke says his voice muffled by my hair.

That's another time that I have heard that Dar'ke is old. "Dar'ke how old are you in terms of Ooman development?" I asked a bit curious. I mean not that it really mattered to me but might help to gauge things into the future.

He thought about it and was a bit hesitant to say. "Chris in terms of Ooman life span in terms of a roughly 100 year development...I would probably be around the 40 to 50 year age range..." he says a bit sheepishly

Oh my...I am a space cat sugar baby! I chuckled and snuggled into him. "Dar'ke that's not to bad then. There are Oomans that have large relationship gaps as well that just work. So no worries then and don't be shy. I know I can come to you for answers. You have a lot of life experience I would like to spend time hearing your stories and memories. " I say to him reassuringly

I could feel his body relaxed and he purred in to my neck happily. I mean I am 22 or 23 now? I guess age in general really doesn't matter anymore. Plus the only age that really matter right now would be the pups.

I feel Dar'ke reach a hand between us to caress my belly. He might be older but he is still my affectionate space kitty. I nuzzle him back and gently try to push him on his back. He growls at me to not move him.

"Dar'ke I need to get up and make Breakfast with OldOne and crew" I say to him.

"OldOne one said you are not allowed in the kitchen today and to take the day off" Dar'ke said to me in a sleepy tone.

"Rough night Dar'ke?" I ask stroking his cheek.

"Just a long night, I was able to secure an Ooman hunt after we do this hunt.  Hopper found a two waring Ooman colonies and we can slip in and out easily to get some trophies." He said with a tired sigh.

"Sounds like a good plan just keep safe, is all I ask Dar'ke. I just found you I am not letting you go now!" I growl at him half playfully and half seriously.

Dar'ke nodded and then sighed as his gauntlet was starting to go off. He ignores it at first, which is his usual habit. "Dar'ke..." I say to him

He let's out a groan and sits up. It turns it on. It was Sooni and she looked pissed. "Dar'ke how dare you not report to me directly that Chris had gotten hurt!! Do I need to take her back!" She roared at him

"Hi Sooni!!" I say to her trying to see if I could calm her down.

"Chris if anything happens to you again you need to contact me right away! I can't rely on Dar'ke to tell us anything. I can't believe you were attacked by a clan member! Dar'ke you told me she would be safer with you!" Sooni says with a sharp tone.

"In his defense Sooni I left the kitchen without my assigned guards. It was just a cluster of events. It's just as much as my fault as anything" I say to her.

Sooni let's out a large sigh clearly annoyed. "Chris the fact is that should never have happened!! Also another thing is to learn about this going through the ships reports! We are family and should be notified right away!!" She booms out.

Not gonna lie I wanted to wrap up in a blanket and roll my way to the door and make an escape. Sooni can be very scary when she wanted to be.

"Your right Sooni I will let know right away from now on. " I let her know in a small voice.
