"Where should I look?"
Nasa condo ako ngayon ni Terran. Bukas na kasi 'yung pageant at mamaya na 'yung general practice nila. Sabi niya turuan ko daw siya dahil wala naman kaming masyado ginagawa pareho.
"The front. Always look at the front while walking. May photographer naman ata 'yung school sa front, 'yun na lang gawin mong guide." I said and took a seat on the couch while he was showing me what they practiced.
He stopped and scratched his head a little. "My hands are a bit awkward, don't you think? What should I do?"
"Well, depends sa attire mo. If casual, try to find a pocket or wear a watch na lang na you can hold. Like flex your watch pose gano'n. Nagegets mo ba ako?" I asked and got my watch from my bag. I showed him the poses he can do with the accessories. "Pero gawin mo lang 'yan sa dulo ha, like kapag magp-pose lang. 'Wag mong gawin habang naglalakad. It looks too casual para kang naglalakad sa university. Kapag rumarampa ka, it's better to relax your shoulders and arms."
"Ah, okay okay." He nodded and told me to watch him again.
"No no, kinakabahan ka ba?" I laughed. "'Wag ka kabahan, magiging stiff kasi tignan. I know this is your first time, normal kabahan, pero don't pressure yourself. For as long as you own the stage, then there won't be a problem." Sabi ko at inayos 'yung pagkakatayo niya dahil ang stiff tignan nung shoulders niya.
"Own the stage? How?" He curiously asked.
"When you're on the stage, make sure the way you walk, every step you take, make sure it gives off 'I am the main character' vibes. Something like that," I shrugged. "And! Also, you have to maximize the space on the stage especially in your solo portion. Don't just stay on one side. Take the stage as your own, do whatever you want that you think would make you standout."
"You look so sexy every time you teach me about something." He licked his lower lip making me roll my eyes.
I watched him again and again. I also let him watch some question and answer videos because he wanted to. Sabi ko sa kanya hindi niya naman na kailangan. Magaling naman siya when it comes sa words.
"Parang nakakakaba? Ano ba mga questions dun?" He asked making my brows furrowed.
"Hindi ko rin alam, e. For sure iba 'yan kaysa sa mga questions namin before." I shrugged.
Ibinaba niya yung laptop at humarap sa 'kin. "Babe, kaya ko ba?"
"Oo naman. Stop doubting yourself. You don't have to be the best among them. Be the best version of your own." I smiled and ruffled his hair.
Maaga ako gumising ngayon para makapag book ng grab. Sabi ko kasi kay Terran 'wag na ako ihatid ngayon at magpahinga na lang siya tutal excused naman 'yung mga candidates para makapagpahinga sila ng buong araw bago magpageant.
"Aga mo, ah? Hindi ka susunduin ni Terran?" Tanong ni mama pagkababa ko habang busy sa phone at nagb-book ng grab.
"Mamaya na 'yung pageant, e. Sabi ko sa kanya magpahinga na lang muna siya." I shrugged and took a seat beside Matty na kagigising lang rin at kumakain ng agahan.
"Kumusta si mommy? Kinakausap mo ba 'yun?" Tanong ko kay Matty. Kababalik lang rin kasi ni mommy sa ibang bansa dahil balik trabaho na ulit siya.
