Holding his breath, he placed the tiny baby girl back into her crib. She had finally fallen asleep, which was a good thing as he had just about exhausted his repertoire of appropriate songs. Well, to tell the truth he usually made up songs when singing to the kids, and more than likely she would not have noticed.
She moved around in her sleep, and her tiny fists grabbed air. Funny how babies seemed to hold on to life and didn't want to let go. And this little one was as fierce as they came. Well, not surprising given her firecracker of a mother whose disposition she obviously had inherited. Hopefully, his son's calm demeanor would stay in place and balance his feisty sister.
Michael's eyes fell on the baby boy who was happily asleep in his bassinette, oblivious to his sister's little fit earlier. Ok, the twins were asleep for now. Maybe, just maybe he could lie back down and cuddle up with Lisa before one of the other children decided they wanted attention.
"You know we do have nannies, right? I mean, we are paying them, why not let them take over every now and then? What if they complain to the nanny's union about being bored?"
Well, he loved being hands on with the children- and despite constant feeding and napping schedules, not to mention diaper changing marathons he never grew tired of being a Daddy.
