Chapter 9: The Badge and the Burden

Church woke up first in the morning. He saw that the time was 6:00am. This was not out of the usual for him. Back at Blood Gulch, they had to wake up at before 8:00am. He went to the bathroom, brushed his teeth and took a shower. When he finished and reached the door, he heard "GOD DAMMIT, CABOOSE!". The rest of his team was awake and so today's chaos had begun. He sighed before opening the door

"How did you get soup on my bed sheets?!" said Tucker, gesturing at the stained white sheets

Church and Tucker were getting dressed in his uniform

"I went out in the night to get a midnight snack" responded Caboose in the bath

"Where did you even go?!" called out Tex from the shower "They keep the food locked tightly. In order to break in stealthily, you need to be smart"

"Oh, Griff helped me break in. He was also hungry so he lockpicked the lock and took crisps" He squeaked his toy ducky

"THAT STILL DOSEN'T EXPLAIN HOW YOU MADE A MESS ON MY BED WITHOUT WAKING US UP!" shouted Tucker 

"Tucker, it's Caboose. He just does it somehow." said Church, he puts on the tie "Man, I hate wearing these things! And keep your voice down, people are still sleeping"

Caboose and Tex got out of the bath and shower and Church and Tucker looked away with Tucker visibly sweating 

"Dude, She's my girlfriend and most likely your doom" whispered Church

"I know! I want to look so badly!" whispered Tucker

"Dude, stay strong, you can get through this"

"I can't. I'm turning!"

"TUCKER, NO!"

"You know I'm already dressed, right?" said Tex

They turned to see a dressed Tex doing Caboose's tie with Caboose looking around, smiling with innocence

"Oh" was all that came out of them. All of the boys wore black suits lined with gold, accompanied by a blue, in their respective colours vest, and a white shirt with a red tie while Texas wore a red plaid skirt, stockings of various length, and a brown jacket with a tan vest and white shirt with a red ribbon tied at the collar and her cap

There was a knock on the door and Church opened it

"Hey, blues" said Simmons. He was wearing what their wearing except his vest was maroon, had a hoodie and had sunglasses "Wanna see us wake up, Grif?"

"Sure"

They went to the SDGL room and saw the boys in the same outfits as theirs except their vest colours, Donut's seemed more shiner, Lopez wore gloves, a bandanna, sunglasses and a hat, and Grif who was in bed asleep despite the noises in the next room, had a messier outfit and his face was covered

Simmons pulled out a pulled out a trigger. The others watched in anticipation as he stroked the trigger. He then press the button and Griff's bed then sends out an electric shock through out his body. Griff landed face first on the ground
