Chapter 3: A Minor Hiccup

Weiss patiently waiting out the minute left on her holographic clock displayed from her desk, secretly watching the news. It showed the headmaster of Valhalla academy on it. She watched it in the classroom of Professor Peter Port, who is telling the same story for the fifth time. Then Jaune slides up next to her.

"So, Weiss, y'know, uh, I-I was thinking after this, maybe we could go grab a bite to eat?" He asked nervously. He turned to the teacher for a second, then turns back around. "And, uh um, I-I've got two tickets to that new Spruce Willis movie, if you wanna make the trip to Vale. I hear it's awesome" He pauses as he noticed his words have no effect. "Aaaand maybe after that, we could study together? I mean, you're smart and I'm, uh... Y'know"

Finally, the clock in front of Weiss gives a shrill beep as it changes from 3:59 to 4:00, and she dismisses it with a wave of her hand. The professor is temporarily unaware of the alarm as he posed as a towering monster about to attack.

"And then I- Oh" Port straightens his stance as the students start to leave "Timed that one wrong, I guess. Well, the stunning conclusion to this story will have to wait. Until next time!"

Jaune watches Weiss as she packs up her scroll. "Weiss? Did you hear me?"

Weiss not even looking at Jaune as she walks away, responds "No, no, no, yes"

Upon hearing this, Jaune groans and does a faceplant into his desk as Team RWBY and CLMA walks out of class behind him. Yang ruffles Jaune's hair and Tucker pats him on the back without even looking

"One day" reassured Yang

"Yeah, don't lose hope" said Tucker

"I thought that class would never end" said Blake as she tighten her wraps

Team RWBY were in their room, getting dressed in new outfits. There was a knock on the door and Yang opened it. CLMA were on the other side in new outfits as well

"Well, well, those are pretty nifty outfits" said Tucker, tightening his tie

Ruby was sitting on her hanging bed "Alright, guys, today's the day! The investigation begins!"

She appily leaps off her mattress and onto the floor, arms raised excitedly. Ruby almost lands on Weiss, who is on the bottom bunk.

"I'm glad to see we're taking this so seriously" said Weiss sarcastically

"Hey, we've got a plan!" defended Yang "That's... moderately serious"

"Right!" Ruby looks around at the group "Everyone remember their roles?"

"You, Church and I will head to the CCT and check the Schnee records for any other Dust robberies or inconsistencies" stated Weiss. "Seeing as I'm in the family, it shouldn't be a problem.

"The White Fang has regular faction meetings to hand out orders and recruit new members" said Blake listing off her job. "If me and Tex can get in, we can hopefully find out what they're planning"

"I have an old friend on the shady side of town that typically knows everything going on in Vale" said Yang. "Getting information out of him shouldn't be too hard..."

"Great! We'll meet up tonight near Yang to go over what we found" Ruby pumps her fist "Let's do this!"

"Yeah!" said Sun's voice from the window. The group turned to see Sun, smiling as he hung upside down in their open window

"Sun!" said Blake, surprised and alarmed

"The hell are you doing?!" asked Church

"How did you get up there?" asked Yang
