Chapter 27 A Couple Days Off

Y/n's POV

I woke up to see mama getting ready to go. "Morning sweetie, what's your plan for today?" Mama asked. 

"I'm taking Dacoda's advice and I've decided to take a day off." I said, stretching. 

"That sounds nice, but I've got to keep making money for us. I'll be out for a little while." Mama said. I nodded and got out of bed, heading to the bathroom. I took a shower and played with the water, making different animals and a few other things before I heard a knock on the door. "Y/n I'm headed out with Natsu and the others. Be safe and no boys in the house while I'm gone." Mama said.

"Of course." I said, thinking about what to do today. I heard the door open before seeing Sapphire open part of the curtain. "Y/n, can you help me with washing my back?" Sapphire asked. I nodded and lifted her up. I held her close enough to the water so she could use it. "I hate the fact that I can't wash my back myself." Sapphire said. I giggled and washed her back before finishing up my shower. I stepped out of the shower and headed back to my part of the room, getting dressed before seeing Sapphire drying her fur off. "Ready for a nice day off?" I asked. 

"Of course, you needed this more than I did, anyway." Sapphire said. I nodded and picked her up, holding her in my arms. I walked out of the house, locking it behind me before I made my way to the market. While at the market we found some new food stalls and decided to try the food. I enjoyed some if it, but the rest wasn't super good. A fortune telling stall caught my eye. I walked over to it and saw that they were talking about people's future partner. I walked over and waited for my turn. "Hello, have you come to see your future partner?" The person asked. I nodded. They started using their magic as the crystal ball filled with smoke. I watched intently as I saw a girl with long blue hair and chocolate brown eyes smiling about something. After a few seconds the smoke appeared again covering the girl's face. "Who was that?" I asked.

"I'm sorry I can only show you parts of your future." The stand owner said.

"That's okay, she just seemed familiar." I said paying and heading to the guild. The girl's face wouldn't leave my head and the more I thought about her the more I thought I knew her from somewhere. I bumped into someone as I was walking into the guild. "Oh sorry." I said looking up to see Dacoda. 

"You okay? Something seems off about you?" Dacoda asked. I shook my head. "No it's nothing." I said walking past him. I headed to the bar and sat down waiting for auntie Mira to not be busy. "How's your day off going Y/n?" Auntie Mira asked coming over to me.

"Good, but I went to a fortune teller and saw who they said would be 'my partner.'" I said. She looked at me confused before realizing what it meant. "Oh, so what did he look like?" She asked.

"That's the thing it wasn't a boy, I saw a girl with long blue hair, chocolate brown who was smiling at something before the crystal ball they were using filled up with smoke." I explained.

"I see, and now you're not sure whether or not you like her." Mira said. I nodded. "Well maybe you'll meet her soon." Mira said. 

"I don't know about that, but since it's still my day off  I'll keep walking around town and finding new  things to do." I said.

"How about a drink before you go?" Auntie Mira suggested. She poured me F/d before handing it to me. I drank it while listening to everyone chatting in the guild. Once I finished my drink I headed back out into Magnolia to walk around some more before heading home. While walking around I saw some girls around my age talking with each other, one of them waved at me making me blush and wave back before walking away. "Is there something wrong with me? Why did I think that girl was cute?" I thought. The more I thought about it the more it bothered me for some reason. After that I went home and decided it was best to rest up for the rest of the day. "Y/n, I'm bored can we do something fun?" Sapphire asked. 

"Sure, but let's get home first." I said. She nodded as we got to the house. We walked inside and found a few card games to play. We played the games until night came after one last round we went to bed. I woke up the next morning only to see blue fur on top of me. I let out a sigh before lifting Sapphire off my face. She stayed asleep as I set her down on the pillow, I got up and headed to the bathroom. While I took a shower my thoughts traveled to the image of the girl I saw yesterday. "What is it about her that's so familiar?" I asked myself. I finished my shower and headed to my dresser and got dressed. "Sapphire, I'm headed to the guild." I said. 

"Five more minutes." Sapphire said rolling over. I sighed and headed out to the guild. When I got there most people were already drinking and getting into fights. I smiled and headed to the bar. "Good morning Y/n, did you figure anything else out about your girlfriend?" Auntie Mira asked. I shook my head. "No, I just know she's familiar about her. I just wish I could meet her soon, but something about looking at other girls now bothers me." I said.

"Want to talk about it?" Auntie Mira asked. I nodded. "Whenever I see a cute girl now, I can't help but blush." I said. Auntie Mira sat across from me and listened as I kept talking about how I felt towards some girls that I saw around town. "Well I think it's perfectly normal to be curious about girls and boys. I think you might want to ask Lucy about it more though." Auntie Mira said. I nodded and thanked her for listening. I went home and spent the rest of the day reading through mama's book. She came home super late and told me about what happened to Loke and how he was a spirit that was now in a contract with her.
